BBST Community Service Project
Time for this year's - BBST Gives Back to the Community - event.
Monday, January 21st (National Day of Service & Public School Holiday)!
10am to 1pm
Maritime Park - 1600 C Street
Our Community Service project this year will be supporting our local trails projects with the Nooksack Salmon Education Association WorkParty.(click blue words to learn more about the program) Swimmers will want to come prepared to get dirty and possibly wet, as it is a rain or shine event. Good thing swimmers don't mind getting wet :) It is a fun event and they even usually have snacks and a prize drawing at the end!
Per BBST policy, any swimmers ages 10 and under will need a responsible adult to stay with them for all events and activities that fall outside of practice time, whether at or away from the pool. If your swimmer is between the ages of 11 and 18 and you are not staying on site, they will need the attached release form completed when they arrive to give the City of Bellingham in order to be allowed to participate. However, again please note coaches will not be responsible for supervising and managing any of our swimmers' behavior. We want to represent our team well in the community on this National Day of Service, so ALL parents and siblings are encouraged to attend and participate as well. Let's fill the trails with BBST Blackfish families!
Please note this is an optional community service project and does NOT count towards team Workshare hours!
