Description

The 2019 Winter Short Course Junior Olympic Championship Meet will be held at Clovis West High School - Olympic  Swimming Complex,  1070 East Teague, Fresno, CA 93730  .   The deadline to COMMIT or DECLINE attendance for this meet is January 30th, 2019.   This a 3 and a half-day, Prelims/Finals meet (February 15 ^th  - 18 ^th ) intended for all of our swimmers who have achieved the Junior Olympic time standard for events they wish to enter.  Swimmers achieving a new 2019 Winter Short Course JO time standard at the B/C Championship meet will be automatically entered into this JO meet.  Swimmers may enter as many events as they qualify for but may compete in a maximum of 7 individual events for the meet, plus relays.  Swimmers are also limited to 3 individual events per day.  It is expected that all qualifying swimmers will be available to swim in any relay on any day for our team and our relay teams are entered in the meet based on this expectation.   Arrival time on Friday is 3:45PM with Warm-Ups beginning promptly at 4:00PM.  Prelim session   a rrival time each day (Saturday through Monday) is 7:15 AM with team warm-ups beginning promptly at 7:30AM.   It is important to be on time to warm-ups because there could be up to 900 athletes in attendance at this meet and acquiring space to warm up as a team will be a challenge.   Late arrivals will have  to warm-up independently of our   team.   Swimmers making it back to any finals sessions will be notified by Coach Kudela of their arrival time each day.   Refer to the attached meet fact sheet for additional details.  When arriving, look to  set up your camp in our team area  so that coaches can readily find swimmers if necessary during the meet.  Congratulations on all of your accomplishments during this Short Course Season!!!
