iSwim Lap Counting
(this is a team hosted event)
We have been given a very special opportunity to help with Albany Public School Foundations iSwim Event. They need some help with counting laps of all the Elementry Child that are trying to raise money for Albany Public School Foundations.
The money that each child raises gets split in half. Half of the money they raises goes back to the school they attend and the other half goes to the Albany Public Schools Foundation for Classroom Grants.
What they need help with is People over the age of 11 to help count laps. I was told that each child will try and swim 20 laps across the pool at ACP. You just need to keep track of their laps.
This is a great way to get some Volunteer Hours told your Short Course Volunteer time. This event was not on our radar when calculating number of hours needed, but they count towards your total.
When: Saturday February 23rd
Where: Albany Community Pool
Time: 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM
What a great opportunity for Albany Aquatics Swimmers and Parents to be ambassadors to the sport of swimming. Wear your Team Gear and maybe you might inspire some kids to join the Otters!
There is an attached flyer for the Event.
I have created 12 spots for counting laps and I need the signups completed by February 15th so I can notify the leader of how many volunteers Albany Aquatics will provide.
Thank You for considering signing up for this event.
