The 11th annual Steelman Open Water Swim is an event like no other. Athletes of all ages are offered two distances to challenge their skills. The 1.5 or 3.1 mile courses allow individual swimmer the chance to show their power in the water, while the 3.1 mile Relay lets racers work as a team to complete the course first When the racing is done, all athletes get to enjoy the great after party with spectacular food and music while the awards are given out. Do not miss this awesome event!

The 11th annual Steelman Open-Water Swim will be held on July 14th, 2019 at Lake Nockamixon State Park. This race is the ultimate in open-water swimming! It is perfect for the veteran swimmer looking to test their endurance, or for new swimmers or triathletes looking to get some more experience swimming in an open-water setting. The Steelman OWS provides the ultimate combination of clear, 70 degree water temperatures in a safe, well-supported racing experience. Swimmers can choose from the 1.5 or 3.1 mile individual age group competition or the three mile relay completed by three different swimmers (each completing a one mile leg of the swim). Awards are presented to the top overall male / female, top overall male / female / co-ed relays, and three deep in age divisions from 13 – 80 years old. After the race, all athletes will be treated to an awesome post-race party with tons food and music. We hope to see you out there at this year’s Steelman Open Water Swim!
