Open Water Swim - Bartlett Lake

EVENTS: 1000m, 2000m, and 4000m Swim
Open Water Swim race distances of 1000m, 2000m, and 4000m
Youth (age 11 – 18)
Masters (age 45+)
Note: Youth – 14 and
under – must show proof of a USA
Swimming “B” time standard
for 1500m or 1650 yards. This is for all athletes under age
14. The time standard will be the 11-12 standards.
1650 = 24:43:79 (boys) 25:01:49 (girls)
1500 = 25:24:09 (boys) 25:45:79 (girls)
This is YOUR responsibility to provide proof on site day of event *.
Online registration is available until THURSDAY night before the event at 9pm.
After that time you must come to the event to register in person.

The cut-off time for all swimmers will be 10:00am. At this time, you will be picked up by watercraft and taken to shore and marked DNF.
Wetsuits will or will not be allowed according to FINA rules:
- Between 16°C and 18°C (60.8°F and 64.4°F) wetsuits mandatory
- Between 18°C and 20°C (64.4°F and 68°F), wetsuits are optional
- Over 20°C (68°F), wetsuits are not allowed
Wetsuits ARE scored separately.

TONTO PASS –
The Tonto Pass is a daily (24-hour) recreation pass for visitors to more than 50 recreation sites where a daily-use fee is required on the Tonto National Forest. The Pass will be displayed on visitor’s vehicle rear-view mirror. The passes sell for $8.00 per vehicle per day.
NOTE – passes expire 24hrs
from time of validation, put in the correct date!
Buy BEFORE you go, else you may be driving to Cave Creek to get a pass or get a ticket.
Bartlett Lake From Central Phoenix: Take 51 north to 101 East. Take 101 East to Pima/Princess Road (Exit 36). Go left (north) to Cave Creek Road. Turn right (east) on Cave Creek and travel 4 miles to Bartlett Dam Road. Turn right on Bartlett Dam. In 20 minutes you will arrive at Bartlett Lake Marina (13 miles)
Bartlett Lake From the West Valley: Take I-17 north to the Carefree Highway (Exit 223). Turn right (east) on the Carefree Highway and turn left on Cave Creek Road (9 miles). Go through the towns of Cave Creek and Carefree and travel 10.5 miles to Bartlett Dam Road. Turn right on Bartlett Dam. In 20 minutes you will arrive at Bartlett Lake Marina (13miles).
Bartlett Lake From the East Valley: Take 101 North to Pima/Princess Road (Exit 36). Go right (north) to Cave Creek Road. Turn right (east) on Cave Creek and travel 4 miles to Bartlett Dam Road. Turn right on Bartlett Dam and in 20 minutes you will arrive at Bartlett Lake Marina (13 miles).

PARKING: Parking is available at Rattlesnake Cove. Participants are encouraged to carpool to the Lake.

Awards ceremony for each distance will be conducted on-site as each distance is completed.
Points awarded to top 15 places. Points are as follows (1st to 15th) 25, 22, 19, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Points are per Distance (Distance/Mid-Distance/Sprint) and category. No drops, all races count.
