Details: This meet was a new addition to our schedule three years ago and a hit amongst all those that attended. We will be offering this meet this season to swimmers of all ages. This is a timed final meet for 10&U swimmers. This is a prelim/final meet for all our 11&Over athletes at all six (6) Academy Bullets Swim Club locations. All 13&Over swimmers attending this meet will do so as part of our team travel trip.

NEW 11/12 swimmers will have the option of attending this meet with their families or may be part of our team travel trip. This is similar to what we offered last season and all the 11-12 athletes who attended as part of the team trip had a fantastic time. Specific meet details will be posted as they are made available from the host club.

UPDATE #1 - March 5th:While we are in the initial planning stages and do not have any type of trip costs, we felt it is important to send out some initial information so people can plan. We do have a few changes to what we’ve done for past Nashville trips so please read this information carefully:
  • All 13 & older athletes will travel as a team. We have secured a hotel within walking distance of the pool. All costs will be included except for nightly dinners. With so many options just steps from our hotel, swimmers will pay for their own dinners at the restaurant of their choice.
  • We will depart early on Wednesday, June 19, and return on Sunday, June 23. This is the same as last year. We will not be driving home overnight after the meet ends. Instead we will spend Saturday night in Nashville and depart for home on Sunday morning. While this does increase the cost of the trip, we do this to ensure the safety of our athletes as best we can. Swimmers whose parents attend the meet are welcome to travel home with their family after the meet concludes.
  • We are also working on a bus route that will allow us to pick our southern Springfield area swimmers on the way, alleviating the need for them to travel in coach-driven vans.
  • 12&U swimmers are welcome to attend the meet again and are encouraged to do so. Here are some notes specific to the younger age groups:
    1. 11-12-year-old swimmers will have the choice of participating in team travel or traveling and stay with their families. IMPORTANT - If choosing team travel for an 11/12 swimmer, please write BUS TRIP in the notes section when you commit for the meet.
    2. Those choosing Team Travel will pay a trip cost that includes all lodging, transportation and meals (including dinners). They must travel on the bus to the meet and stay with the team for the duration of the meet. Should a parent of a swimmer on the team trip attend the meet, swimmers may ride home with their parents after the Saturday 400 Free session. There will be no adjustment of the trip cost for those not traveling home with the team.
    3. 10&U swimmers attending the meet must travel with their families, who will make their own arrangements.
    4. There will be a nominal travel fee ($75) charged to swimmers traveling with their families. This helps defray the costs of bringing extra coaches to the meet.

We hope many of you will consider attending this meet. Please email Coach Brian if you have any specific questions.
