******PLEASE READ*******

THIS MEET IS DESIGNED TO BRING FUN BACK IN TO THE SPORT TO KEEP OUR ATHLETES MOTIVATED! THIS FORMAT IS UNLIKE ANY OTHER MEET. WE ARE GOING TO SCORE TO 100 PLACES IN EACH EVENT IN EACH OF THE FOLLOWING AGE GROUPS: 8 UNDER, 9-10, AND 11-12. EVENTS WILL BE SCORED BY AGE GROUP BUT SWIMMERS WILL COMPETE TOGETHER IN 12 AND UNDER GIRLS EVENTS AND 12 AND UNDER BOYS EVENTS. EVERY PARTICIPATING SWIMMER WILL EARN POINTS. AWARDS WILL BE “PURCHASED” BY EACH SWIMMER SPENDING THEIR POINTS EARNED IN THE MEET AT THE SHAMROCK STORE (SIMILAR TO CHUCK E CHEESE OR DAVE AND BUSTERS).PLEASE NOTE THAT THE POINTS ARE CUMULATIVE FOR BOTH DAYS. HOWEVER, THE POINTS MAY BE SPENT AT ANY POINT DURING THE MEET. ALL RELAYS COUNT TOWARDS THE TEAM SCORE. TEAMS WILL BE SCORED WITH A COMBINATION OF INDIVDUAL POINTS AND RELAY POINTS.

 

 

AT THE CONCLUSION OF COMPETION, THERE WILL BE A 30 MINUTE BREAK. AT THAT POINT, SHAMROCK WILL CONVERT THE POOL TO A FUN ZONE! INFLATABLE SLIDES, OBSTACLE COURSE, CLIMBING ROPES WILL BE PUT IN THE POOL! THE FUN ZONE IS FREE AND WILL BE OPEN FOR 2 HOURS! AN OUTSIDE BARBEQUE WILL BE PROVIDED FOR A $7/SWIMMER FEE. COACHES AND OFFICIALS WILL EAT FREE AT THE BARBEQUE. PARENTS ARE MORE THAN WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE IN THE BARBEQUE FOR $7. SHAMROCK HAS RECEIVED PERMISSION FROM USA SWIMMING RISK MANAGEMENT FOR THE ACTIVITIES IN THE POOL. ONLY SWIMMERS REGISTERED FOR THE MEET ARE ELIGIBLE FOR POOL ACTIVITIES. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SAME EVENTS AND SAME ACTIVITIES ARE OFFERED ON BOTH DAYS OF THE MEET SO NO ONE MISSES OUT ON THE FUN! A DIFFERENT CONFIGURATION OF THE FUN ZONE WILL BE ON DAY 2.

 

 

 

OUR FACILITY SITS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BEAUTIFUL BLUE HILLS AND NEW ENGLAND BASE CAMP IN MILTON, MA. THE BOY SCOUTS WILL BE RUNNING OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES IN THE CAMP THIS WEEKEND FOR ANYONE THAT WANTS TO EXPLORE! THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR SIBLINGS WHO ARENT SWIMMING TO HAVE FUN!

 

ATTENTION COACHES AND OFFICIALS: ON SATURDAY AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE FUN ZONE ACTIVITIES, THERE WILL BE A COACH SOCIAL. AFTER ALL, THIS IS A FUN MEET!
