WARM-UPS AND START TIME
7AM Waterdevils warm-up
7:30AM Guest Team warm-up
Our pool has 5 lanes and we expect the meet to end sometime before 3pm. We will be using fly over starts to make the meet run as quickly as possible.
LOCATION AND PARKING
Marinwood Community Center Pool, 775 Miller Creek Road. Take the Lucas Valley exit off 101, head west and turn right on Miller Creek Road. Pool will be on the right.
There is a small amount of parking in front of the community center, but these spots fill early in the morning. The remaining available parking is on the street in designated spots and in the neighborhood on the street. Please be sure to park legally and out of red zones, particularly in front of the fire station.
TIMERS, OFFICIALS and LINE UP VOLUNTEERS
Timers needed: We have a 5 lane pool, and we require 8 tiners from your visiting team for the first shift and 7 for the second (a total of 15 timers). We also require 2 8&U line-up volunteers from your team.
Officials needed: We require 1 stroke and turn official from your team on the pool deck throughout the meet. You may split this shift as you wish but all assigned officials from your team should be present at the morning officals meeting. We also require 2 relay judges from your team for the beginning and end of the meet.
Meeting: Officials and timers check in with your team first and then meet under the scoreboard at approxmately 7:30-7:35am for group instructions. Please listen for announcements of these meetings.
Lanes are assigned to timers at the meeting and instructions for our timing system (a wireless plunger/Dolphin system) will be given.
Second shift timers will meet under the scoreboard near the end of the backstroke heats. Please instruct them to listen for the announcment which is approximately around 10:30.
WHERE TO SET UP TEAM AREA
We reserve the grass area behind our blocks for visiting teams. There is plenty of space to spread out on the grass with easy access to the pool. There is a wall near this area to post lane assignments and other items.
We pride ourselves on our delicious, healthy and affordable snack bar, and we will have a wide assortment of snacks and meals available throughout the meet, beginning at 7AM.
An important note: Please remind your swimmers and families to bring their own refillable water bottles! We have made a committment to reduce waste by not selling bottled water and instead offer icy cold water in large jugs next to the snack bar to refill your own bottles. Thank you for your help in this effort!
We look forward to seeing you at the pool this Saturday! Please feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
