Swimmers:  Warm up and meet start times are listed below. Please get to the meet early.  Make sure to bring a Yellow Canyons cap, extra goggles, team suit, SHOES to cover your feet while on deck, team warm ups, extra towel, sunscreen, healthy snacks, and a water bottle.  Always check the weather report leading up to a meet!

Purpose and Goals:  The goal of the meet is to adjust, and fine tune long course race strategies and long course race feel in a championship environment.  Also, the goal is to qualify for higher level meets like Futures, Juniors, Nationals, or Olympic Trials.

Meet Cost: $14 Swimmer Surcharge + $13 per individual event

Travel:  Athletes are expected to travel with their families

Format & Rules:  This is a prelim/final meet with 3 heats per event in finals (Finals, Consoles, Bonus).  The check-in procedure is required for the 800/1500.   All preliminary events are to be swum fastest-slowest. Sunday: Fastest 8 entrants checked in for the women's 800 Free will swim after the Event 24 "A" Final; fastest 8 entrants checked in for the men's 800 Free will swim after the Event 26 "A" Final.

An A/B flight may be warranted  for Friday/Saturday only, depending on the size of the meet.  If flighted, there will be 6 heats preliminary heats of each event, followed by a brief break before the B flight.

USA Swimming Rules will govern. Current SCS Meet procedures for Heats and Finals Meets will be enforced (See 2018 SCS Swim Guide): the National finals' scratch rule will be used.  A swimmer must scratch or place an intent on an event within 30 minutes of announcement of preliminary results. Final “no-show” (original top 24 places) except last day will be removed from the remainder of the meet. A $50.00 fine will be assessed to the swimmer for a no show in her/his last event of the meet.

A swimmer qualified in one or two individual events may enter the qualifying events and up to a total of three events; a swimmer qualified in three or four events, may enter the qualifying events and up to a total of five events; a swimmer qualified in five or more events must prove all events entered.  Swimmer may swim a maximum of 3 events per day plus relays. If more than 3 events per day are entered, only the first 3 events entered for that day will be accepted. No exceptions or refunds.

All heats of the 400 IM, 400 Freestyle, 800 Freestyle and 1500 Freestyle will be swum fastest to slowest, alternating women’s and men’s heats.
