Description

Senior and Gold will practice in Savannah on Mondays and Wednesdays 9:00am to 11:15am, and Fridays from 9:00am to 11:00am. Silver will practice in Savannah on Fridays from 9:00am to 11:00am.  The practices will be held at the Chatham County Aquatic Center, 7240 Sallie Mood Drive.  Please be aware that we will modify the schedule from time to time as needed heading into and out of meets.

Swimmers and drivers will meet at 7:20AM and load up and leave no later than 7:30am Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the small parking lot across from the Rec Center next to the Softball and Football practice field. If swimmers do not arrive by the scheduled time, the carpools will not wait for them and they will be responsible for their own travel to practice.

We need parent volunteers to signup to drive carpool! The number of carpool drivers will depend on the number of swimmers requesting carpool. We will be back at the Rec Center parking lot at approximately 12:00pm.

We need ALL Senior, Gold, and Silver Swimmers to Commit or Decline for Savannah Practices. In the Notes section, please put any dates that you know your child will NOT be attending.  If for any reason your child will not be attending when we are expecting them for carpool, you MUST text Anne Lofye (404) 784-2917 and their coach. Please do not assume we know your child will or will not be needing carpool.

Prior note from Coach Mike:

We want the carpools to be as smooth as possible, from sign up to notice of anyone not going to practice on a given day. Please remember it is set up as a convenience by our parent volunteer organizers and drivers.  We are asking that everyone make it as easy as possible on the people who are volunteering to help make this happen for the swimmers. We need everyone to be prompt in their responses and communications when asked or needed. We will have 35 to over 50 swimmers headed down on a given day and it's a lot to organize and just a few families not communicating can effect a lot of people. Starting this summer we will only be doing point to point trips to Savanah from the Rec Center to help stay within the USA Swimming travel guidelines for team travel and insurance. There will be NO requests of swimmers to only travel with certain other swimmers or parents. If someone has a concern about that, they need to communicate that with me directly, not our drivers or organizers. Swimmers may choose not to use the car pool and travel on their own to practice but we must be given written notice that that is your intention.

Families who are not prompt in communicating with the organizers may be withdrawn for using the carpool and will be responsible for their own travel to Savannah. Swimmers and drivers will meet at 7:20AM and load up and leave no later than 7:30am MWF in the small parking lot across from the Rec Center next to the Softball and Football practice field. If swimmers do not arrive by the scheduled time the car pools will not wait for them and they will be responsible for their own travel to practice.
