MAAPP Policy and Acknowledgement
All USA Swimming Member clubs, including Makos, are required to implement the USA Swimming Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy (MAAPP) in full by June 23, 2019. MAAPP contains five sections: one-on-one interactions, travel, social media and electronic communications, locker rooms and changing areas and massage, rubdowns and athletic training modalities.
MAAPP will apply to ALL adults, including parents and volunteers, who interact with and have direct and frequent contact with minor athletes. All Applicable Adults will be required to follow MAAPP.
All Makos parents (at least one parent per family) are required to read the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy and acknowledgement the policy. We have FOUR ways you can get this done!
1. Read MAAPP Policy (below). Print acknowledgement form, sign and bring to pool. There is a box for you to drop your signed form in.
2. Read MAAPP Policy (below). Print acknowledgement form, sign, scan and email back to firstname.lastname@example.org.
3. Go the the "MAAPP Policy and Acknowledgement" Event via the homepage and click on "Register Online". You can read the policy there and sign electronically.
4. Read MAAPP Policy (below). Email your acknowledgement to email@example.com. **In your reply, please state that you have read and understand the MAAPP Policy. Include your name and your swimmer's name,
WE MUST HAVE 100% COMPLIANCE BY SUNDAY, JUNE 23.
