BLST vs. Montclair "Seahawks" [Home] - 6/22/2019

Description

This is our first HOME meet of the season. The pool is located in Splashdown Waterpark located within Ben Lomond Regional Park, 7500 Ben Lomond Park Road, Manassas, VA. There is parking at the end of the lot near gate 7, but do not park in reserved spaces. Please make sure you lock your vehicle and stow your valuables out of site.

All swimmers should  Declare their intention to swim using the “Edit Commitment" button for each meet. This button will take you to another page where you must click on the swimmer’s underlined name. The next page will allow you to select “Yes, please sign [swimmer] up for this event” if you will attend and participate in the swim meet, or “No, thanks [swimmer] will NOT attend this event.” There is space if you want to leave a note to the coach. Select the checkbox for “Day1/Session 1” and select the “Save changes” button at lower right of page. Swimmers should declare by 8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 18.

The swim meet cannot operate smoothly without volunteers. Volunteers can sign up for the many slots by selecting the “Job Signup” button. This will take you to a page that has all volunteer positions listed alphabetically. Some positions may already have a name in the slot. Select the checkbox next to the jobs you will work. Remember to consider setting up on Friday night and cleaning up after the meet. Then select the “Signup" button. You will be prompted to add a name if there are more than 1 volunteer in the family. Then select the “Save changes” button.  Volunteers should sign up by 10:00 PM on Thursday, June 18. Swimmers and volunteers should check in with volunteer coordinators (Ericka Espinosa  or  Yasmine Sosa) upon arrival and return badges before they depart.

BLST will set up on the south side of the pool near the Cabana at the top of the hill. The Seahawks will set up on the west side of the pool in front of the concessions.

Flying Ducks will warm up from  6:10 to 6:30 AM. The visiting team will warm up from  6:30-6:50 AM.  The “Timer and Recorder” and “Officials” meetings will begin at 6:40 AM. The swim meet will start at 7:00 AM until finished: swimmers must be out of pool by 11:30 am for Splashdown to open on time. Volunteers will be in two shifts: Shift 1 from 7:00-9:15 AM and Shift 2 from 9:15 AM until the meet ends.  Please check out with your coach before departing to make sure all relays have swimmers. Please return your volunteer badges prior to departing.
