Red and Green Meet
It is that time year again to have our annual Grinch vs. Rudolph show down! This year the Grinch Team coaches will be coaches Grace, Jamie, Breanna and Rachel. For Team Rudolph the coaches will be Coach Matt, Coach Nick and Coach Ethan. Oh yeah! Boys versus Girls going on for the coaching staff!
This year we are totally mixing things up! Instead of doing individual events all the swimmers will be doing relays. We will have silly, funky, and fun relays. Every relay will be 100 yards. All relays will be counted for points.
Santa will be on deck to take pictures with your swimmers! Come early if you want to get your pictures taken. We will also be serving hot cocoa and cookies to spectators and swimmers throughout the event.
Before and during the meet, there will be raffle baskets and a silent auction. The coaching staff will be putting together some awesome raffle baskets. For the silent auction, each coach will be donating one 30 minute lesson for the parents and swimmers to bid on. This would be a good opportunity for your swimmer to get some one on one pointers from one of our knowledgeable coaches on staff. The raffle tickets will be $5/ticket or $10 for 10 tickets.

Meet entry fee: 2 canned goods
Each year we do a Food Drive for the local food pantry, Vaca Fish. Each swimmer is asked to bring at least 2 canned goods but your swimmer is welcomed to bring more. Last year our team donated 4 bins of goods! And Vaca Fish really appreciates our generous donation and looks forward to our meet. This year our goal is to fill up five bins!
A little more about Vaca Fish:
VACA FISH was formed in 1971 to assist those less fortunate.
It continues today in the same fashion with the assistance of a core group of volunteers, a dedicated Board of Directors and support from individuals,
the community at large and the City of Vacaville.
VACA FISH provides food for families who:
• Are residents of Vacaville and Elmira.
• Meet VACA FISH income requirements.
• Have not received food from VACA FISH for at least 30 days.
• Can present picture identification when picking up food.
• Did not receive food from another organization on the same day.
VACA FISH furnishes enough food to feed the family for three days - nine meals.
At Thanksgiving VACA FISH distributes baskets of food on the Saturday preceding these holidays.
VACA FISH serves up to 300 families each holiday
Where to sign up:
Please send me or Coach Grace, an email letting me know your swimmer wants to participate. Please send me an email with your swimmer’s name and age. All the entries NEED to be in by December 9th before 10:00pm. We will NOT be accepting late entries.
The coaching staff will be organizing the relays your swimmer will be a part of for that day. And we will have that info out to you via email by Wednesday, December 15th letting you know what they are swimming.

I have not posted the volunteer sign ups for this event yet but it will be up soon. FYI I will need:
-two volunteers to help Amy with passing out cookies and hot cocoa
-four volunteers to help count the canned goods
-two volunteers to keep track of the points for each team
-two volunteers to take money and monitor the silent auction and raffle table
