(this is a team hosted event)

KICK OFF THE 2020 HOX SEASON!

Plan to attend as this is an important meet for several reasons.  First, it establishes a baseline for your swimmer's times in each stroke.  This baseline is used to seed swimmers into proper heats in subsequent meets.  The baseline is also used to calculate "pop times", which we award to swimmers who have improved their times over the season.  If your child does not get an initial time, it may be several meets before they can establish a baseline.  Due to limited heats of IM during our dual meets, Time Trials may be their only chance to swim this event.

Set Up:
Tents may be set up Saturday evening no sooner than 7:00 PM for this Sunday morning meet.  Do not pop tents up all the way due to high winds during the summer nights.  Please be sure to use your stakes to properly secure your tents into the ground (we have had tents blow away in years past). PLEASE NOTE:  Do not use stakes greater than 8 inches, as they cause damage to the underground irrigation system.  No popup tents or seating are allowed on the cement/pool deck or on "G&T Hill" (hill next to the shallow end of the pool" as it is reserved for families that purchased private tents available at the HOX Parent Party & Auction (May 8, 2020).
The baby pool will be closed during all meets.  The shallow end of the pool is for 11 & Up swimmers only to warm up and warm down.  If your swimmer is 10 and Under, please do not allow them into the shallow end.  Lifeguards will be enforcing this as well as any child that is not swimming laps.  The pool is not to be used as a place to stay warm or play.
Please do not park in spaces allocated for the Fitness Center.  Also do not stop or park in the red zones to unload vehicles, specifically do not stop or park at the curb next to or across from the back gate.  This is NOT AN UNLOADING ZONE as it blocks the flow of traffice for those trying to come up the hill or access the back gate by foot.
There are reserved parking spaces for families who purchased tents during the HOX Auction.  We ask that you do not stop, drop off or park in these spots unless they belong to you.  These reserved spaces are designated by a cone and/or sign  If your reserved space is occupied, do not occupy another reserved space.  Instead, please speak with one of the parking attendants.  In addition, there is over-flow parking at the park below the tennis courts as well as along the street leading up to the pool (See map below in Documents Section).
Team Parade:
Do not forget to wear your HOX gear and be ready to cheer the team on as they make their grand entrance to the pool deck.  Swimmers will head up to the bocce courts at 8:55 AM to gather for the parade and introduction of coaches.  Please ensure there is plenty of room for the kids to come down the ramp and around the short block side of the pool.  Parents shoudl try and circle the pool to cheer on the team.  The best view will be from the short wall next to the shallow end of the pool.  Signups for the Family Fun Relays will be by the announcer's table throughout the meet.  The relays will take place cirectly after Time Trials end (weather permitting).
Hawk's Nest:
The Hawk's Nest will be open from 7:00 AM serving:  donuts, bagels, fruit, breakfast burritos, coffee, etc (our usual swim meet spread).  The no host BBQ buffet will be served from 11:00 AM.
Returning for 2020 - HOX will once again use touchpads at this meet and at all home meets.
New for 2020:  Paragon Competition Platform (AKA: tall block replacement project) and a permanent PA System and Speakers.
