2020 Phoenix Winter Invitational
(this is a team hosted event)
Below is the preliminary psych sheet and timeline for this weekend's meet.
WE NEED YOUR HELP WITH OFFICIALS! There is another swim meet going on this weekend in the Valley and it is taking away many officials. Please reach out to the officials on your team to see if they can help us for a session or two. We will all be done under four hours for prelims on Saturday, Sunday and Monday and we have some great food planned for them and reserved parking. We would really appreciate any help you can give us. Please have them contact Art Gramer at [email protected] if you can help. WE NEED YOU!!!!!
Relays: It looks like all the relays will happen in finals, so be sure your 12 & under swimmers plan for that.
Call for Timers - Please help fill the timers' chairs to get the sessions started on time. Running two pools gets all of us out of here earlier, but it also requires a greater number of timers. We appreciate any help to make the meet run more smoothly.
Team Areas - Please confine all team and individual swim camps to inside the pool fence. There should be no one setting up north of the pool in the grass area or close to the new gym. Areas outside the pool fence are off limits to our swim meet guests. There will be a police officer as well as roving meet marshals to help us enforce these rules. Please respect the PCDS campus by leaving it as nice as you found it, so that we can continue to host swim meets. Tents may be set up after 3:00 p.m. on Friday. DO NOT SHOW UP EARLIER AS SCHOOL WILL BE LETTING OUT AND THE PARKING LOT IS VERY BUSY.
PARKING – Please respect our neighbors and DO NOT park on 40th Street, on Colter St. or in commercial lot to the south of the pool. PSC had to hire a parking attendant to make sure no one is parking in the commercial lot south of the pool, in order to keep those businesses happy. There will be ample parking at the front of the school on Stanford Drive, and it is just a short walk east on Stanford and then south on 40th Street to the pool. There will be a map for additional parking posted on our website. There will be a police officer on duty to enforce the parking rules. The officer will have cars towed that park on the neighborhood streets or in the commercial lot.
OFFICIALS’ PARKING – There will be spaces coned off in the pool parking lot for OFFICIALS ONLY. Please show respect to our officials by not using those spaces. We appreciate the countless hours of volunteer time that they give to our swimmers. The least we can all do is to provide them a parking space.
