Become an official! Training starts 9/21!
We always need parent volunteers to become officials in order to be able to run great meets. The beginning of the season is a great time to train to become an official. The process is pretty straightforward. You need to attend an officials training class, be a trainee (shadow the officials) at four sessions, and pass a “deck check” where a referee observes you at work.
We have an officials training class connected with our first meet: Welcome to Fall on Sept 21-22. The classroom session will be Saturday 9/21 at 12:30PM at MVCC. If you want to train to be an official, but cannot attend the class you can start with the shadowing this weekend and take the class at a later time.
Once you are a fully certified official Swim
Neptune offers the following benefits:
--You’ll easily get enough hours to fulfill your volunteers hours
--Officiating fulfills your fundraising obligation
--At Swim Neptune hosted meets we will credit back 100% of the meet fees for the sessions that you work.
Please let me know if you have any questions and if you plan on attending commit to the event using your swimmers name and type your name in the notes section.
