Go to www.parentprojectmd.org/ForGunnar for additional details on the event and how to enter the run/walk.

Many of you know Gunnar's parents, David and Bridget, as well as his brother Steffen, a long time Raider and NCAA standout swimmer at Wright State University.

The Listermans have been instrumental in the transformation of our swim club.  Parent David Listerman was the Raider Board President for a number of years, spearheading many improvements in club operations, building more team unity, and driving massive fundraising efforts.  The Listerman family brought Olympic Swimmer Ryan Lochte to Dayton for a past event which raised money to fight Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, the disease that Gunnar battled with such courage and grace for 20 years.

Look at the timeline on Ryan's Facebook page and you'll see just one example of the positive impact that Gunnar and his family made on people.

David and Bridget Listerman were active in Parent Project, an organization dedicated to finding a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.  If you care to learn more or make a donation in Gunnar's memory, please click on the link.

Please keep the Listermans in your thoughts and prayers
