See's Candy Info & Opt-out Instructions
It's On! Annual See's Candy Fundraiser Team Fundraiser! Now thru Nov. 19th. Sell, Sell, Sell
Each fall Orinda Aquatics holds our annual See’s Candies fundraiser. This is the only true fundraiser for our team. This is a mandatory team event ( see team policy letter...). See's offer great gifts for teachers/tutors, friends, co-workers, office staff, and household support staff (cleaners, gardeners, pool cleaners).
The minimum requirement is $325 in sales for each individual swimmer or $500 in sales from each swimming family. (Please note: there is a "partial buy-out" of 65% or 2/3's of the difference in the amount sold and the required amount. For example, if a swimmer sells $150 of candy, $175 less than the minimum, he will owe an additional $115, or 65% of $175). Sales packets are being handed out at the pool - be sure to have your swimmer pick one up. Prizes for top sellers. All Orders are due Tueday, Nov. 19th!
Opt-Out: If you choose not to sell candy and would rather opt-out, the amount is $225 for a single swimmer and $275 for multi-swimmer families. As per IRS rules, a "buy-out" is not a tax deductable item.
To opt-out, under the events tab on the website, find the 2019 See's Candy Opt-out event, click the Attend/Decline button. Respond with: "Yes, I would like to attend." option and your account will be billed the appropriate opt-out amount on Dec. 1st. You must opt-out by Nov. 19th. If you do not opt out or turn in a See's Candy order, your account will automatically be billed the opt-out fee.
All See's Orders will be ready for pick-up on Tuesday, Dec. 3rd in the community room at the Soda Center.
