Description
December 14th through the 22nd The South Shore Sails Booster Club offers a gift-wrapping service. Many TFC members and others seek out this service, each year, for nearly 10 years, and it has built up quite a following! This is always a successful fundraiser that brings in approximately $1500 each year and it's so simple! People bring us gifts, we wrap them up and make them look pretty in exchange for a donation of their choice. Easy!
There are three different
ways to help between December 14th & 22nd:
1. Volunteer on a weekday for a 90-minute shift between 5 pm
and 8 pm
2. Volunteer on a Saturday/Sunday for a 90-minute shift
between 10 am and 4 pm
3. If you lack wrapping skills, please consider donating
one or more of the following
- Holiday-themed spooled ribbon with wire (the kind to make bows)
- Assorted gift tags and stickers and accessories
- Magic Gift-wrap Tape and/or Tissue paper
- Clothing Boxes in assorted sizes
- Hobby Lobby Wrapping Paper (we don't need as much of this year thanks to last year's donations, but we won't turn it down!)
If you are unsure, check out YouTube for some tips! We
welcome ages 15 and up to volunteer for wrapping if they can wrap
neatly, enjoy being creative, and enjoy serving our
community. Younger students are also welcome to wrap
accompanied by a Parent. Limit of 4 people per volunteer
shift. We will sign-off on Volunteer hours for students as
well!
As you already know the booster club's proceeds are used to
facilitate needs for the team beyond the framework of what TFC
provides, and sometimes we even work together to maximize
value. We've purchased Team Tents, training equipment, Power
Towers, and GoPro's all to support the vision of our coach's and
create an environment conducive to learning and good
sportsmanship.
We hope you will consider donating time or supplies to make
this annual effort a success.
Thanks and let's go Sails!
