Description

Learn All the Strokes

Coaches Paul Murphy, Stephanie Turnbull & Christie D'Eon will be conducting these pre-season clinics. Masters Coach Sandy McDonald will also be on-deck to provide additional technique expertise. League bylaws allow swimmers to participate in three one-hour technique sessions per week. Athletes will be in the water Tuesday through Thursday, focusing upon each of the four strokes and starts & turns. You may sign up for individuals sessions or all four weeks.

                               Core & Flexibility Classes are on Friday.

Levels 1 - 6       $30 per week or $105 for all four weeks

Mini-Rays          $105 for all four weeks

Level Descriptions

Mini-Rays: Mini-Rays are children with water safety, the ability to swim at least 10 feet unassisted and readiness for competition. Open to swimmers 5 - 10 years of age, this is a beginner level program that guides young athletes who are looking to make the transition from swim lessons into competitive swimming.

Level 1: Beginners, primarily 8 & Under, who are learning how to side breathe during freestyle and swim backstroke.

Level 2B: Swimmers who side breathe in freestyle, swim backstroke, and are prepared for introduction into the breaststroke.

Level 2A: Those who are displaying readiness for all four strokes, can execute a legal breaststroke kick, but have yet to master the rhythm of each stroke.

Level 3: Athletes who have learned all four strokes and are working towards refining mechanics and becoming initiated to Ultra Short Race Paced Training [USRPT].

Level 4: Swimmers 11 & Up who are still learning all four strokes, improving regularly and perfecting technique.

Levels 5 & 6Experienced swimmers mastering their skills.
