Description

A Note From Our Officials Chair:

I have been made aware that there are Members that are still in need of taking the Level I Intro and Safety Marshal Clinics.  You are receiving this email as it seems that You and/or another Family Member has not taken these Clinics.  If COBRA's records are incorrect, and you have already participated in these Clinics please send a scan/photo of your (or your Family Member's) Swimming Officials Card.  COBRA introduced a new strategy this Swim Year in that ALL New Members are required to participate in the Level I Intro and Safety Marshal Clinics.  Volunteers are a necessity for Swim Meets!  Without Volunteers the Competitive Swimming Sport would cease to exist.

Please advise if there is a reason you have NOT taken these Clinics as there were  numerous opportunities and it was made clear to you that participation in these Clinics was a requirement.

Without these Clinics you are not able to Volunteer at any of COBRA's remaining Swim Meets.

Part of your obligation to the COBRA Swim Club is to Volunteer and obtain 5 Sessions at COBRA Swim Meets AND 3 Sessions at the Central Region B Championships in June.  There are 8 Sessions remaining to obtain the 5 Sessions and 9 Sessions at the Central Region Meet to obtain the 3 required Sessions.  Again, I will repeat myself - without attending these Clinics you are not able to Volunteer On Deck at COBRA Meets and it will be very difficult to obtain your Session Requirements..  Failure to meet your Family's Required Session carry stiff and expensive Penalties.

COBRA will be hosting ONE Last Level I Intro and Safety Marshal Clinic Session.  These Clinics will be held at McMurchy on Tuesday, February 18th at 6:30 P.M.  These Clinics will run together and last approximately 2 to 2 1/2 Hours.

Please make the plans to attend this Clinic as COBRA does not want to penalize any Family.

If you are unable to attend this Clinic Day Please let Catherine Reed and myself know.

There is also one more opportunity on Saturday, February 22nd at 9:15 A.M. - but this is in Markham and requires you to Register as SOON as possible as space is limited and it will fill up - if it hasn't already.

Thanks for Volunteering!
Best Regards,

Bob Albert
