PEAK Summer Travel Trip

Good Morning PEAK Families,

Last month you received a save the date e-mail regarding our summer travel meet (June 11th-15th) to Baton Rouge. This letter is to inform you of details regarding the trip as well, the options we are presenting for athletes based on their age as well as to let you know registration is now open via our website - log in, visit the Meets/Events tab and register under the 2020 Travel Trip tab.

This meet is for all athletes in PEAK year-round groups. Ages are as of the first day of the meet, June 12th. Athletes 11 years old or older MUST travel with the team. Athletes 10 years old or younger MUST travel with a parent or guardian. Please see below for additional details and pricing information.

11 AND OVER ATHLETES: Events for these athletes will be offered Friday (6/12), Saturday (6/13) and Sunday (6/14). This meet is prelim/finals for 13 and overs; timed finals for 12 and unders.

Transportation: All 11 and over athletes will be taking 15 passenger vans driven by coaches and/or chaperones. We will depart Thursday afternoon (6/11) at 1:00pm from the Pearland Natatorium and arrive Monday afternoon (6/15) back at the Pearland Natatorium.

Lodging: The team will be staying at the Holiday Inn Baton Rouge (located at 2421 South Acadian Thruway in Baton Rouge, LA, 70808). These athletes do not need to book their hotel room as we will handle their accommodations.

Dining: We will eat breakfast at the hotel (included in hotel room cost) Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday morning. Lunches will be provided either at the pool or at the hotel each day and dinner will be held at the hotel each night. 

T-shirt: The travel trip t-shirts are included in the travel trip cost (1 shirt per athlete). Extra shirts you order (for parents or extra shirts for athletes) will be roughly $12.00 each and must be noted in the notes section when you sign your athlete up for the trip - please note quantity, sizes (ladies, youth and adult available) as well as material (dri-fit or cotton).

Meet Entry Fees: These will be billed separately as usual and are not included in the total cost below.

Payment:

11 year-olds and older traveling with the team (including gas, shirt, meals, lodging, transportation): $400.00 each

We are offering two options for payment: Please let us know which form of payment you are wanting when you sign up on our website (meets/event tab) under the notes section.

Payment in full: $500.00 billed to your account May 1st for those traveling with the team

Payment in four installments: $125.00 on March 1st, April 1st, May 1st and June 1st. If registration occurs after March 1st, the payment will be billed in three installments ($166.67 on April 1st, May 1st and June 1st).

**Athletes will need to bring cash (roughly $25.00) to attend the team activity we will be doing -TBA.

The deadline to sign up for the event is March 15th on our website.

What we need from you: Please utilize the notes section when you sign up to let us know how you would like to pay for the trip (installments or full payment) as well as the t-shirt size of your athlete / quantity, material and sizes of any extra shirts you wish to purchase. 

Attached are the documents needed for all athletes to travel with us: PEAK Travel Trip Policy form, PEAK Medical Release form and PEAK Medical History Questionnaire. These must be signed and submitted prior to the trip.

 

10 AND UNDER ATHLETES: Events for these athletes are offered on Saturday (6/13) and Sunday (6/14). Last year Friday afternoon had two events offered for 9-10 year-olds and no 8 and under events. We are awaiting the detailed meet information to see if the format is the same this year.

Transportation: These athletes must travel to Baton Rouge with a parent.

Lodging: The team will be staying at the Holiday Inn Baton Rouge (located at 2421 South Acadian Thruway in Baton Rouge, LA, 70808). 10 and under athletes and family members (who wish to stay where the rest of the team is staying) will need to book and pay for their own room under the Pearland Aquatics Parent Room Block by calling 225-924-6400. The hotel is $94.00 per night plus tax (includes breakfast).

Dining: The hotel supplies breakfast each morning included in the room cost. Lunch and dinner are on your own.

T-shirt: If your athlete (or other family members) would like a t-shirt, please note quantity, sizes (ladies, youth and adult available) as well as material (dri-fit or cotton) in the notes section. Shirts will be roughly $12.00 each and must be noted in the notes section when you sign your athlete up for the meet.

What we need from you: Please utilize the notes section when you sign up to let us know which days your athlete will be attending (Saturday and/or Sunday offered) the meet AND sizes/material/quantity of t-shirts you wish to order.
