The Northwest Age Group Regional meet will not be taking place in 2021 at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, WA.  Governor Inslee implemented a 4 Phase Approach to Safe Re-opening of Businesses in the state of Washington back in May.   King County is currently in Phase 1 of the 4-phase plan.  It would require King County to be in Phase 4 of the re-opening plan for the meet to take place at the King County Aquatic Center.  The PN Technical Planning Committee discussed this topic at a recent meeting and the consensus of the group was that the regional meet would not happen in 2021 based upon the timeline he has put in place for moving from one phase to the next.  As we found out with the 2020 meet many teams had put forth considerable effort and expense with the travel arrangements for the meet, we wanted to be sure this didn’t happen again in 2021.  I know that many teams start planning for their March travel meets in January and felt this would be enough notice about the meet being cancelled.
