Summer Training Schedule
*In order to practice, parents and guardians must sign the waiver for their athlete(s).
Members who have signed the Durango Swim Club waiver/agreement can choose from 3 practice groups/times. There are age/ability suggestions for each group time. If an athlete or parent prefers a practice time that is not under the athlete’s age/ability suggestion, please sign up for the preferred time. While your swimmer(s) may not be with their normal training partners, practices will be suited to the athlete’s needs.
*To comply with COVID contact tracing guidelines, athletes and parents must choose a practice time and stick to it. Contact Coach Brandon if there are any schedule conflicts.
To start the summer season off, we will offer each athlete 1 hour of training each weekday (M-F). As public health restrictions are loosened, practice duration and frequency will be increased. Morning practice schedules will run until August 21st (around school start date). After this date, a new schedule will be implemented.
We have 6 lanes set aside for each practice time. Up to three athletes are allowed to swim in each lane. Siblings can be counted as one individual if they practice in the same lane. If practice times fill up with the max amount of athletes, we can open up a practice slot/private lesson between the hours of 4:00 and 6:00 pm.
Group A) 7:30 - 8:30AM -suggested practice time for platinum athletes and their siblings
Group B) 8:30 - 9:30AM -suggested practice time for athletes ages 11-13 and their siblings
Group C) 9:30 - 10:30AM -suggested practice time for 10 and under children and/or families with a commute.
Doubles for platinum athletes will start on July 14th . They will be scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-6:00pm.
