September Swimming @ The Pacific Clinic
The Pacific Clinic(Tri City Court Club) has agreed to let the Channel Cats practice in Pool 1 and Pool 2 using certain guidelines. I am still not certain what times we have, but I believe it will be early in the morning and after school. I have a meeting next week with management at The Pacific Clinic and will know more at that time. We will have 5 swimmers per lane (one at the North end, one at the South end, one 1/4 down the pool, one 1/2 down the pool, and another 3/4 down the pool). Coaches will insist on social distancing before, during, and after practice. These practices will start Tuesday, September 1.
The cost for this, in addition to your monthly Channel Cat dues, will be $53.00 + tax = $57.56/swimmer, if you are not a member of The Pacific Clinic. We realize there will be some families that are going to err on the side of caution and do not want their swimmers back in the pool yet. In order for the team to keep paying coaches we need to have a full team. So if there is pool space, we will be having tryouts and we cannot guarantee that there will be space on the team when you do decide to come back. To sign up for the September practices, you have until Tuesday, August 25 to sign up on the website (the same system that you use to sign up for your swimmer for a swim meet). As soon as I have participation numbers, I will put together the practice groups. This is going to be an extremely difficult task because of the 3-4 school districts having different schedules to start the year and the fact that we still don't have use of CBRC. The groups will be based on ability and speed. Please do not ask for exceptions. This is hard enough to figure out who is going to swim at what time without trying to accommodate the multiple requests that I get.
ENTRY INTO THE POOL WILL BE FROM THE PARKING LOT DOOR. ARRIVE AT THE POOL IN YOUR SUIT, AND LEAVE IN YOUR SUIT. THE LOCKER ROOMS ARE NOT AVAILABLE.
Please read the The Pacific Clinic Covid Plan for info on how we plan to keep everyone safe during practice. We will continue the same check in procedures as we have had this month. We will also need everyone to sign the Liability and Indemnification Form, if you have not already done so.
