Meet Host:

Aquajets Swim Team

Meet Type:

Sanctioned- AQJT Virtual Meet (SCSC and RSC will be participating at the Aquajets Location)

Aquajets Swim Team will be the host team.  The host team is responsible for completing all the requirements on the MNSI Swim Meet Sanction Checklist. In addition, the host will merge the meet after each team has completed the meet for results purposes.  Each team will run the meet on Saturday, December 19th, 2020 at times that are available at each participating team’s facility and will finish all sessions by 10:00 PM. Each location can run the sessions in any order on December 19th, 2020 and can run the same session multiple times to accommodate more swimmers. However, no changes to the session’s order of events can be made as each location will need to run the same order of events per session.

Teams that can participate in this meet are teams and athletes that are registered within MNSI.  Teams must be able to run a full meet at their pool and each team can decide if their facility is able to include another team at their location.  This includes providing their own officials, volunteers and equipment needed to run the meet at their pool. Teams will comply with the current state, local, health and USA Swimming guidelines available on the meet date and should meet or exceed all requirements in their facility during the meet. It is not the host team’s responsibility to ensure each team is following the state, local, health and USA Swimming guidelines. The meet will be limited to 12 teams.

Masks/cloth face coverings will be mandatory for all participants. Participants are defined as swimmers, coaches, officials, volunteers and all other applicable adults as defined by MAAPP. Everyone must wear a mask/cloth face covering for the duration of the meet.

Swimmers only have an exception during the swim cycle. The “swim cycle” is defined as the time period beginning with the swimmer being called from the bleachers for their warm-up or race, until their warm-up or race/cool down has ended. After a race, swimmers will proceed directly to the cool down pool, swim as directed by their coach (in a socially distant manner) and that particular swim cycle would end once their cool down is complete. The swimmer will then return immediately to the bleachers, re-apply their mask/face covering, and receive splits/feedback/coaching from their coach in a socially distant manner. Swimmers must wear their mask /cloth face covering when not swimming.

Masks/cloth face coverings must be worn properly according to CDC guidelines and cover the nose and mouth.

If participants and spectators are not abiding by the mask/cloth face covering rule, the competition will suspend until all participants and spectators are in compliance or the offenders have left the venue.

To comply with Safe Sport/MAAPP ensure at least 2 adult volunteers are present with swimmers when they are in areas outside of the pool deck.
