Apparel
Thursday: Blue Shirts
Friday: White 2021 Champs Shirts, OR other LA Tee Shirt
Saturday: Blue Shirts
Sunday: Green Shirts
- As always, if swimmers elect to wear a swim cap, it must be a Loggerhead team cap.
- 13 and older swimmers are permitted to wear technical racing suits as this is their end of season champs meet.
- The 12&U tech suit restriction will be enforced for all 12 and under athletes. A tech suit is one that has the following components: A) bonded or tapered seams regardless or fabric or silhouette; Or B) any suit with woven fabric extended past the hips. 12&U swimmers are permitted to wear a tech suit that does not have the components mentioned above. More information on restricted/approved suits for 12&U’s HERE.
Facility Information
- FLAGS will be a “closed deck” meet, meaning only coaches, officials, and meet personnel will be allowed on the pool deck. Parents will not be allowed on deck at any time. This applies for counters on the distance events.
- Athletes will be entering the facility through the doorway at the center of the building on the west side (I4 side) of the facility.
- Spectators will be allowed to view their swimmers race from the designated spectator area at the north end of the facility (map in facility layout attachment). After their athletes’ race, parents must promptly exit the spectator area so parents of swimmers in upcoming heats can enter the facility.
- Spectators will use the restrooms in the spectator area at the north end of the facility.
- Please view additional spectator information on the Facility Layout attachment.
- The facility can be very hot when it’s warm out, and very cool when it’s cold out. Please come prepared for both. The highs will be in the 60/70’s and lows will be in the 50/60’s.
Team Seating
- Bleacher seating will be secured on deck for Loggerhead swimmers. All athletes are expected to sit together in the team area during the meet.
- Parents may sit in the outdoor spectator seating area on the west side (I4 side) of the building. Feel free to bring tents/chairs. Two large LA tents will remain set up outside in the spectator area throughout the meet.
Notes
- Heat sheets will be available on accurateswimtiming.com, floridaswimming.org, rosenaquatic.com, as well as on the FLAGS Event Page on the LA website.
- We ask that ALL swimmers be on time for warm ups. Please arrive to the venue at least 10 minutes before the posted warm up time.
- Swimmers should see their group coach 10-15 minutes before their event and then see them immediately after they swim.
- Swimmers competing in the 500, 1000 and 1,650 freestyle must provide their own counter. Parents are not allowed on deck, so swimmers need to count for each other.
- Swimmers who qualify for finals will be expected to race in finals (including Sunday evening).
- Swimmers who will be in Orlando on Thursday evening may get their water time in at the pool after Session 1 starts at 5:00PM. Please check in with a coach when you arrive.
Relays
- Relay assignments are tentative and may be adjusted based on how swimmers are swimming/feeling at the meet, as well as coach discretion.
- Swimmers competing in only the 800 Freestyle Relay on Thursday evening may come in at 5:00PM for warm up. Check in with a coach when you arrive.
- All relay events are timed final events.
