2021 SECTION 3 SPRING SECTIONAL MEET (MARCH 25 -
28, 2021) ANNOUNCEMENT
You are receiving this email because you may have a
swimmer who qualifies for the 2021 Section 3 Spring
Speedo Sectional meet scheduled for March 25-28 (Time Standards are
attached). The Section 3 Task Force has been meeting
regularly and below is an update regarding the
meet.
Because of venue capacity limits and the announcement of the 2021
NCAA March Madness Basketball Tournament being held in Indianapolis
requires additional information from teams throughout our
Section. The task force has determined that in order
to provide the best competitive opportunity for our Section 3
athletes, the meet will be held at two venues – the Indiana
University Natatorium in Indianapolis and Elkhart Health and
Aquatics in Elkhart, IN. This will be a LCM competition with
a timed-finals format and no relays. After
studying the first round of team reservation numbers, the task
force felt this was the best option to accommodate the athlete
numbers. Of course, all plans are subject to change based on
changing conditions brought on by the pandemic.
Finally, I need to know if
your swimmer will be participating in this competition by Sunday,
January 31.
