MSA Winter Finals

Description

Location: Hammons Student Center 731 Bear Blvd. Springfield, MO 65808 

Entries: Swimmers may swim a maximum of 3 individual events in a single session and no more than 7 individual events for the meet. 

Fees: $20 Facility Fee. $5 per individual event. 

Start Times: Session 1 Friday will begin at 7:00pm. Session 2 Saturday Prelims will begin at 10:30am. Session 3 Saturday Finals will begin at 6:00pm. Session 4 Sunday Prelims will begin at 9:00am. Session 5 Sunday Finals will begin at 5:00pm. 

Procedures: The 13-14 and Senior 19-2020 MV LSC District Cuts will be used as a time standard. All events in Friday Session 1 will be timed finals seeded fastest to slowest alternating Women and Men.  All preliminary events will be combined, separated by gender, and circle seeded. 13-14, and Open age groups will be sorted for Finals. There will be A and B Finals for those individual events with a C Final for 15 and Over.  An additional finals heat may be added at the discretion of the meet host. 

COVID-19 Safety Information:

• The meet must be pre-seeded and deck entries are not allowed • We have taken enhanced health and safety measures – for athletes, officials, personnel, and spectators. You must follow all posted instructions of the facility. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. By

attending and participating in the SM Age Group Championships of the World 2021, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

• An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and individuals with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. USA Swimming, Inc., cannot prevent you (or your child(ren)) from becoming exposed to, contracting, or spreading COVID-19 while participating in USA Swimming sanctioned events. It is not possible to prevent against the presence of the disease. Therefore, if you choose to participate in a USA Swimming sanctioned event, you may be exposing yourself to and/or increasing your risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19.

 

 

PRELIMINARY MSA FEBRUARY SWIM MEETS SAFETY PROTOCOLS

Coaches and Volunteers will be temperature checked at the door prior to warm ups.

Swimmers will be temperature checked at the main Hammons entrance prior to warm ups.

Parents will be temperature checked at the main entrance after the swimmers have been checked in.  For all parties, 99.5 or above may not enter!

1 Parent per swimmer allowed in the pool area to spectate.  Color coded wristbands will be used to organize spectators.

Breaks will be taken between events for warm up/cooldown and allow spectator movement in and out of the pool area.

Spectators may only stay in bleacher area for their swimmer’s event.  Spectators may not crash in bleachers!!!

The racquet ball courts in the main lobby will be used for crash areas for teams.

MSA swimmers will crash in the pool area in a location designated with spaced chairs.

1 event at a time will be allowed behind the blocks.  Events will be called out and time will be taken to allow for swimmer movement.

MASKS REQUIRED FOR COACHES, OFFICIALS, VOLUNTEERS, AND SPECTATORS AT ALL TIMES!

SWIMMERS MUST KEEP MASK ON, INCLUDING BEHIND THE BLOCKS AND IN LOCKER ROOMS, UNTIL 1 HEAT BEFORE THEIR SWIM!

LOCKER ROOMS FOR SWIMMERS ONLY!  Bathrooms available in lobby and upstairs.

Concessions and hospitality will be grab and go only.
