Meet Format: This is a prelim/finals meet. All events will be seeded fastest to slowest with the fastest three (3) heats in prelims being circle seeded. Except the 400 IM and 400 Free in which the fastest two (2) heats will be circle seeded. All timed final events will be seeded and swam fastest to slowest, alternating Girls and Boys heats, with the top eight (8) seeds swimming in finals.

In prelim/final events, one heat in the 10 & under, two heats in the 11-12 and 13-14 age groups, will advance to finals. All relays, the 10 & under 400 Free, and 13-14 800 & 1500 Free are timed finals. In the 10 &under 400 Free and 13-14 800 & 1500 Free, the fastest heat of girls and boys will swim during finals. However, swimmers in the 800 & 1500 Free may elect a morning swim. This election is due by 9:00 AM Thursday (800) and 6:00 PM on Saturday (1500). If no indication is made, the entry will be seeded as if it is available for an evening swim. All other heats of the 1500 Free will swim as the final event in the prelim session, fast to slow, alternating girls and boys.

The 10&U 400 Free, 13-14 400 IM, 400, 800 and 1500 Free will be deck seeded and require positive check in. Failure to check in at clerk of course before the deadline will result in the swimmer being scratched from the event. See the Meet Schedule for exact check-in times. All other events will be preseeded. Seed times entered should be the swimmer’s best time for the stroke and distance.

Finals: The top sixteen (16) 11-12 & 13-14 qualifiers in events 400 and below, and the top eight (8) 10&U qualifiers in each event will swim in finals. The top eight (8) seeds in relay events, the 10&U 400 Free, and the 13-14 800 & 1500 Free events will swim in Finals. Finals will be swum fastest to slowest.

Distance Events: only the 24 fastest entries will be entered in the meet for the 800 and 1500 Freestyle events. The two heats of the 800 and 1500 Freestyle, not being swum in the finals session, will swim out of order following a 10 minute break at the conclusion of the prelims session.

A swimmer that has the qualifying time for the 1650/1500 Freestyle also qualifies for the 800 Freestyle and vice versa. If entering the 800 Freestyle with the 1500/1650 Freestyle qualification, the swimmer must enter using their 1500/1650 Freestyle time. Conversely, if entering the 1500 using the 800/1000 standard, the swimmer’s 800/1000 time must be used for entry. This will provide proof of qualification for the event and will allow the swimmers to be seeded in the correct order.

Qualifying Times: Swimmers may enter any event in which they have achieved the “A” qualifying time standard or faster. No entries will be accepted unless the entrant is registered with USA Swimming Inc, and NTS Inc. as provided in Article 302.
