2022 Utah LC State Championship

Prelims Warm up at 7:00 am meet starts at 8:30 am
Finals Warm up at 4:30 pm meet starts at 5:30 pm
All individual events 200 meters or
shorter are negative check-in. All events 400 meters and
longer are positive check in. Positive Check-In Events must be
checked in by 9:30 AM on the day of the event.
• Swimmers who fail to check-in for positive check-in events will be automatically scratched and will not be allowed to swim those events.
Monday • Events 31-34 Senior 400 IM, 13-14 1500 Free
Tuesday • Events 61-68 10-U/11-12/13-14 400 Free, Senior 1500 Free
Wednesday • Events 97-100 11-12/13-14 400 IM
Thursday • Events 131-132 Senior 400 Free
It is the swimmer's responsibility to understand and complete positive check in appropriately.
All 10-Under events (including relays) will be Timed Final events swum slowest to fastest during Prelims.
The 11-12 200 Fly, 400 IM, 200 Back and 200 Breast are Timed Final events, and will be swum in Prelims slowest to fastest. The 1500 Freestyle is a Timed Final event swum in Prelims, and will be swum fastest to slowest, alternating between girls and boys.
Swimmers competing in the 400 IM, 400 free, and 1500 free must provide their own timers and counters (for 1500).
Prelims: Odd heats start at the West end and Even heats start at the East end except 50's, which all start at the East end.
Finals: All final events, including relays but not 50's, will start at the West end. All 50's will start at the East end.
Breaks – There will be a 5-minute break after each session’s relay events.
Utah Swimming Championship Scratch procedure will be in effect: If you qualify for finals, you are expected to swim. If you cannot swim, you must discuss this with your coach and scratch within 30 minutes of finalists being annouced. If you fail to do this, you will be penalized and scratched from your next event. If you fail to show up for finals on the last day of the meet, the team will be fined $50 per occurrence. Please do not let this happen.
Swimmers must meet the minimum qualifying time in order to swim in an individual event. (qualifying times are listed at the end of the meet sanction). If you have questions about whether you qualify or not, please talk to a coach.
Some swimmers who do not qualify will be asked to swim on relays.
Bonus Event Rules for 12-Under swimmers (not 13-over):
• Swimmers are limited to 2 bonus swims. Bonus swims count towards the 6 event limit.
• Bonus swim entry times must be at least a national B time and NT’s will NOT be accepted for the bonus swim.
• The 400 Free and 400 IM may not be used as a bonus swim.

1 Qualifying Time: 2 Bonus Swims
2 Qualifying Times: 1 Bonus Swim
3 or more Qualifying Times: No Bonus Swims
