Safety precautions:

Important reminders:
All athletes, volunteers, spectators, officials and meet staff are required to wear a face mask at all times inside the natatorium and Championship Hall. Athletes will wear their face mask to the starting blocks where they will be invited to remove it and hang it to one of 2 hooks under the block. Please plan accordingly. You may want to have multiple masks available for your child.
All athletes, volunteers, spectators, officials and meet staff are required to sign the waiver enclosed in the meet packet of information (once per season) prior to entering the natatorium. We will have paper copies at the meet.

We encourage reasonable social distancing at all times.

Family restrooms are available for athletes and spectators. Athletes should come to the pool wearing their swim suit. There is no changing in and out of swim suit at the meet and limited access (restrooms only) to the locker rooms.

No food will be allowed at the meet for either athletes or spectators. Please plan accordingly. Swimmers should consume a large healthy meal prior to coming to the meet.

In order to meet the limited capacity requirements, only 1 spectator per family will be allowed inside the natatorium for session 2 (swimmers age 11-12). A maximum 2 spectators per family will be allowed inside the natatorium for sessions 1, 3 and 4. Spectators can use both the upstairs and downstairs bleachers on the east side of the pool. The bleachers will be marked for social distancing.

According to USA Swimming rules, parents are not allowed on deck (south, west and north side of the pool and the Championship Hall) unless they are serving in an official capacity.

Swimmers will spread out in the Championship Hall on the west side of the natatorium.

Sessions 2, 3 and 4: The surface area will be divided into a grid pattern with each square to be used for 1 swimmer only. The visiting team is the use the south side of the Championship Hall while the home team will use the north side of the Championship Hall. This layout is required for potential contact tracing following the meet.

There will be a bullpen inside the Championship Hall for sessions 3 and 4 only.

Heat Sheets:

Heat sheets will be available for purchase ($1 per session).

Parents of swimmers competing in sessions 3 and 4: Please write or have the swimmers write each event-number on his or her hand with a sharpie. This helps the swimmers remember what events they are swimming and what event number to listen or watch for. It looks like this: “ 50 fly   E 2   H 3   L 5”  = 50 yards butterfly, event #2, heat #3, lane #5. We also recommend for parents of swimmers age 10 and under to write their child’s name on the right shoulder.  This is very helpful for the timers behind the blocks and for volunteers in the bullpen.

COVID Compliance Supervisors:

Each team is required to provide 1 volunteer to supervise the Championship Hall. Expected duties include: remind athletes to wear a face mask at all times and to remind athletes in sessions 2, 3 and 4 to social distance in their respective square.

Sessions 2, 3 and 4: The supervisors will also be required to fill out a paper grid with athletes names for potential contact tracing.
