Friends Central Aquatics Holiday Meet
First, before you read any further, If you are new to competitive swimming or PAAC and you have any questions or just need general guidance about our meet schedule please reach out to our office @ 484-397-4092 or by email @ [email protected] We can help guide you through how and when to declare for these meets.
This Meet Is Little Different.
This will be treated as our championship mid season meet. Meaning, our 13& overs who attend this meet will be rested and suit up for the meet. Our 12 & unders will not "suit up", but we will prepare to go fastest times. This is a good gauge for us halfway through the season and gives the kids something to look forward to after working hard for a few months... The next time we will attend meets of this caliber will be in March at Middle Atlantic's championship meet offerings.
Which Groups should sign up for this meet?
Swimmers ages 9 & over in the Bronze/Silver/Gold/ and both Senior Groups should consider going to this meet if they do not have qualification time for the Keystone Holiday Cup meet this same weekend. Please discuss with your coach whether or not you should attend this meet or the Keystone Arena Holiday Cup meet.
How long is this meet?
This is a 3 day meet (Friday- Sunday), hosted byFriends Central Aquatics located in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania (outside of Philly on City Ave). The meet event distances are 100/200s for the 13 & older and 50/100s for the 12 and unders. Although we recommend competing all three days, it is ok if you can only compete 1 or 2 days. Do not let the 3 day meet prevent you from signing up if you can only go for 1 day.
When do I have to sign up by?
We ask that you commit to going to this meet by November 15th. The reason being is that sometimes these meets fill up faster than intended and we need to reserve our spot in the meet. Once the deadline is passed to signup it is very difficult to get into the meet.
The Meet Announcement (Meet Information) document below provides standardized, all encompassing details of the meet. These documents are standardized for us to get acclimated to them and to know where to look for certain information. Even though they are alot to look at, it is a good idea to get used to looking through these documents.
