Description
State Games of America is an Olympic-style event featuring competition between State Games medal winners (gold, silver, bronze) from across the nation. There are currently 30 states conducting or organizing statewide sports festivals known as State Games.
$30 for first event if registered between March 2, 2022 and May

Opening Ceremony spectator tickets are not included and can be purchased separately for $10 per person. Ages 2 and under are free.
***All team sports participants and coaches can attend all events (including Opening Ceremony) at no charge. Participants must show their athlete/coach credential for entry.
During registration, participants will be asked if they are a USA Swim member. If the answer is yes, please select yes. You will be charged an additional $5 fee (required by Iowa Swimming for entry of times to USA Swimming).
Packet Pick-Up
Athletes can pick up their packets at Sukup South End Zone Club at Jack Trice Stadium. Access to Sukup End Zone is from University Boulevard.

Parade of Athletes: All 50 states and Washington D.C will be recognized as the chosen flag bearers lead the athletes from their state into Hilton Coliseum.

Lighting of the Cauldron (officially kicks off the 2022 State Games of America!)
TIMELINE:
4:00 - 6:00 PM: Enjoy local and national entertainment, inflatables play games, and enjoy some food at the Athlete Tailgate Party!
6:00 PM: Parade of athletes staging will begin. All athletes that walk in the Parade of Athletes must have an athlete credential or Opening Ceremony ticket. Parents, coaches, and guardians with Opening Ceremony tickets are encouraged to walk with younger athletes in the Parade. Spectators please proceed to the main entrance on the south side of Hilton Coliseum.
7:00 PM: Opening Ceremony begins!
ADMISSIONS:
All spectators of the 2022 State Games of America will need a ticket to attend. Athletes and coaches do not need to purchase a ticket as they will get credentials with registration
Spectators have three options for purchasing an Opening Ceremony ticket.
- Pre-purchase tickets
- Pre-Purchase The Super Pass includes admission into all venues.
- Purchasing a Opening Ceremony ticket on-site for $10 or a Super Pass on-site for $25.
The deadline to pre-purchase Opening Ceremony tickets or Super Passes is July 11.

Super
Pass: $20
The Super Pass includes admission to all venues for all days of
2022 SGA as well as Opening Ceremony on Friday, July 29. You can
purchase a Super Pass for $20 per person through July 11. Super
Passes will be available to pick up at participant
check-in. Super Passes will also be for sale on-site at
participant check-in during packet pick-up for $25
Daily Admissions: $5
All spectators above age 2 must pay daily admission. Ages 2 &
under are free. Admission is $5/day. Admission can be pre-purchased
during registration for the event, purchased through this link by
clicking "Register Now" below through July 11, or can be purchased
on-site. Pre-paid admission wristbands will be mailed to the
address on file on July 12.
