Check-in Procedure

All swimmers will be hosted in the Gym where each team has their own Bullpen. The home team will be hosted on the far side and the visiting team(s) will be hosted on the near side. All swimmers must check-in with the Bullpen prior to racing. When a swimmer is not in the Bullpen, they must stay with a parent or guardian. See attached Safety Protocols for additional spectator/parent information.

ALL SWIMMERS MUST BE MASKED WHILE IN THE GYM.

Locker Rooms

Locker rooms will not be available for changing, unless there are concerns with the weather. Swimmers are expected to arrive and depart in their swimwear. The Family Locker room will be available for all swimmers to use. Parents may use the Men’s/Women’s locker rooms or the restrooms located at the entrance of the facility.

Pool Deck and Spectators

Spectators will NOT be allowed on-deck or in the pool area. Only essential persons will be allowed to remain on the pool deck. Essential persons include lifeguards, coaches, swimmers (in limited numbers), meet officials/referees, and parent volunteers.

NO PARENTS ASIDE FROM VOLUNTEERS ARE PERMITTED ON DECK DURING THE MEET

Swimmers in Bullpen Area

All swimmers will follow bullpen procedures, which includes: inside the Gym and throughout the SAGE YMCA facility. Parents may NOT drop off swimmers at SAGE Y unsupervised. Swimmers must be in the Bullpen area at least 10 minutes prior to their event. While in the Bullpen area, it is highly recommended that swimmers have a blanket to stay on and a quiet game or book to play with or read. If a parent/guardian chooses not to have their swimmer stay in the Bullpen between events, the swimmer must be supervised by their parent/guardian.

Bullpen volunteers will arrange swimmers with 6 feet spacing or by cohort groups according to swim practice lane assignments. A parent volunteer will lead swimmers from the Bullpen to the Pool Hallway Area. Swimmers will wait in the Pool Hallway until the event/heat prior to theirs. After their race, swimmers will exit out the Multi-Purpose Room doors back to the Main Center and proceed to their team areas in the gym.

Volunteers

Piranhas are asking that parents sign-up online here through “Sign-Up Genius” https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0f44aea823abfbc25-122 to volunteer at our meet. Coaches will ensure that parents have access to the sign-up online link so that the meet can run with appropriate safety and efficiency. We are looking for volunteers from all teams to help with Bullpen Gym and Hallway, Lane Timers, Team and Volunteer Check-in, and Concierge food donations. Thank you in advance for your support
