Preliminary competition will be held in two pools- the indoor 10 lane, 25-yard pool (6.5 feet start/turn ends) and the 9 lane, 25 yards under the Jason Turcotte Dome (7 feet start/turn ends). Finals will take place in the indoor pool.

 

Both pools will use Colorado timing and scoreboard. The competition course has been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4). The certification is on file with USA Swimming, Inc., and Georgia Swimming, Inc.

 

The remaining 8 lanes under the Jason Turcotte Dome will be used for warmup.

ELIGIBILITY

Closed Competition- by invitation only. Athletes must be USA Swimming registered members. Dynamo will not allow unregistered swimmers, coaches, officials, or teams to participate in this meet. No swimmer will be permitted to compete unless the swimmer is a member as provided in Article 302.

MEET FORMAT

Competition will be conducted in short course yards (SCY) pools. Friday is Timed Finals. Saturday/Sunday will be conducted as Prelim/Finals.

Friday Timed Finals- heats in each event will run fastest to slowest.

Saturday & Sunday Prelims/Finals- Other than the Timed Finals events listed below, the top twenty (20) 11-12, 13-14 and 15&O athletes qualify for that evening’s finals. The Championship heat will run first, followed by the Consolation heat. The GA Scratch rule is in effect.

Timed Finals- Including Friday’s events, the following events will run as timed finals:

  • All 10&U events
  • All Relays
  • 400 IM- all age groups
  • 500 Freestyle- all age groups

10&U Events- All events for 10&U athletes are timed finals. These events will compete in the preliminary sessions only.

15&O 400 IM/500 Free- The top 10 seeded athletes will swim in that respective night’s Finals’ session. The rest of the swimmers will compete at the end of the respective Preliminary session. Competition may be limited to the 40 fastest seeded times for each gender and age group.

11-14 400 IM/500 Free- This is a Timed Final event. The top 10 seeded individuals will compete in finals; all others will swim in prelims. Heats will be swum slowest to fastest. Competition may be limited to the fastest 40 seeded times, with 15 of those spots protected for 11–12-year-old athletes.

1000 Free/1650 Free- Swimmers may only pick one of these events. The 1000 Free may be limited to the fastest 20 seeded athletes. The 1650 Free may be limited to the fastest 10 seeded athletes. Swimmers must provide their own counter.

Relays- All 13-14 and Senior Relays will compete in the Finals sessions. Heats will run fastest to slowest. All 11-12 and 10 & Under relays will compete in the Preliminary sessions. Heats will run slowest to fastest.

Dive-over start and multiple courses may be used at the discretion of the Meet Committee.

Combined preliminary heats among different ages of the same gender may be used at the discretion of the Meet Committee.

Preliminary competition pool assignments will be determined based on the initial meet timeline.

CHECK-IN SCHEDULE

Check-in for all deck seeded events will close 30 minutes before the start of competition.

ENTRY FEES

Individual Event fee:  $7.50/Event

Late Entries: $15.00/Event

 

Relay Event fee: $20.00/Relay

Late Relay Entry: $30/Relay

 

Time Trial fee: $15/event

 

$2.00 Ga travel surcharge applies to all non-Georgia LSC registered swimmers

ENTRIES

Swimmers may enter a maximum of three (3) individual events per day.

 

See entry submission for deadlines. Deck entries will not be accepted.

 

Time Trials will be offered on a limited basis.

ENTRY SUBMISSION

Submit entries to [email protected]  using Hy-Tek team manager. Entries must include the USA Swimming Club Code and each swimmer’s USA Swimming number, first and last name, age, and seeding time for each event entered.

 

Initial entries are due to the Meet Director on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 8:00PM. The Meet Director will confirm entry upon receipt.

 

Corrections will be accepted until Saturday, January 9, 2022 at 12:00pm. Team entry fees will be sent at this time. All entries after this deadline will be considered “late” and be charged the late entry fee.
