Parking is available in
the northwest lot at the Kernersville Family
YMCA
Eligibility:
This is a Closed YMCA meet
that is open only to YMCA teams. All participants must be a member
of a local YMCA and must have full privilege annual membership at
that YMCA to be eligible.
TYDE Bronze, Silver, and
Gold swimmers aged 14 & Under as of May 14, 2022 are eligible
for this meet. Times from this meet will go into the USAS SWIMS
database for those swimmers registered with USA
Swimming.
There are no time
standards for this meet with the exception
that:
Swimmers may not compete in an event
for which they have already achieved a USRY short course time
standard.
NTs are
permitted.

posted below on the meet information page. Coaches will make
all event selection decisions but encourage swimmers to discuss
their preferences with their coach.
Entry
Limit:
Swimmers may swim a
maximum of four (4) individual and two (2) relay events per
day. There are no time standards for this meet with the
exception that:
Swimmers may not compete
in an event for which they have already achieved a USRY short
course time standard.
NTs are
permitted.
Cost:
Attending one (1) day =
$30.00
* The above tiered fees
include all individual and relay entry fees, facility fee, NCS
travel fund surcharge and TYDE admin fee.
Entry Fee Payment
Note:
When you sign up for this
meet online, you authorize the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina to
charge the account on file with TYDE for the total amount due per
the entry fee amounts listed in the information above. If you
wish to use an alternate method of payment for these entry fees,
you must email [email protected] prior to the meet
registration deadline.
You also
acknowledge that payment is non-refundable regardless of illness,
injury or any reason that may not allow you to participate in this
meet. TYDE swimmers who sign up but then fail to attend the
meet for any reason will be charged for entry
fees.
Awards:
No medals or ribbons to be
awarded.
Random Heat-winner awards may be presented as surprise bonuses.

Team
Award:
Winning team will have
possession of the custom-designed Heavyweight Belt until the next
Heavyweight meet.
Concessions:
Concessions will not be
available at this meet.
Suit:
TYDE Team Suit or solid
black suit.
TYDE swimmers should NOT
wear tech suits or Aquablades/Vanquishers at this
meet.
Apparel:
Saturday—Black TYDE
2021-2022 season T-shirt
White TYDE TEAM CAPS ARE
REQUIRED for those who wear caps
NOTES:
Come for the racing and
plan to stay for the fun! After the meet, we'll have our TYDE
Annual Celebration at the Kernersville Y's outdoor pools and play
areas. All TYDE team members and families are invited to
celebrate our 2021-2022 short course season as we transition
to summer long course season.
