Anyone who makes JO cuts at USRY will be able to add them after the entry deadline.  Be sure to email [email protected] AND [email protected] by end of day Sunday, July 10 with any additions.  Be sure to specify any new events, sessions and days qualified for and confirm intentions to participate if there are days/sessions to be added.  Swimmers will not automatically be entered if achieving new qualifying time(s).

Eligibility              
This is USA Swimming Sanctioned meet.  All swimmers must be registered with USA Swimming.  All swimmers must be properly registered with USA Swimming/NCS by entry deadline. Swimmers must have achieved qualifying times in each event entered during the qualifying period:  1/1/21 – 7/10/22.
 
Format
  • 10 & Under Individual Events--All events will be timed finals and swum in the afternoon sessions.
  • 11-12--Timed finals swum in the afternoon and evening sessions. 
  • 13-14—Prelims and Finals: Top 16 swimmers return for finals (The 800M and 1500M Freestyles will be Timed Finals)

*PLEASE arrive on deck ready to swim 15 minutes prior to the warm up start time for check in and last minute instructions.
*Afternoon and Finals session start times may change after entries are processed.
 
Events 
Please see the Order of Events list link below on this page.  Coaches will make all event selection decisions but encourage swimmers to discuss their preferences with their coach.
                               
Entry Limit
  • 13-14 swimmers may enter and swim up to eight (8) individual events for the meet and no more than three (3) individual events per day. 
  • 11-12 swimmers may enter and swim up to eight (8) individual events for the meet. They are further limited to no more than four (4) individual events per day.  
  • 10&U swimmers may enter and swim up to eight (8) individual events for the meet. They are further limited to no more than four (4) individual events per day.  
 
Cost      
Relay only swimmer = $20
1-3 individual  events = $50
4-6 individual events = $70
7+ individual events = $80
 
* The above tiered fees include all individual and relay entry fees, facility fee, NCS travel fund surcharge and TYDE staff and admin fees. 
 
Entry Fee Payment Note 
When you sign up for this meet online, you authorize the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina to charge the account on file with TYDE for the total amount due per the entry fee amounts listed in the information above.  If you wish to use an alternate method of payment for these entry fees, you must email [email protected] prior to the meet registration deadline.  You also acknowledge that payment is non-refundable regardless of illness, injury or any reason that may not allow you to participate in this meet.  Any swimmers who sign up but then fail to attend the meet for any reason will be charged for your entry fees. 
 
Parking                
Parking will be available at the Coliseum for $5 per day with unlimited entry and exit.
 
Awards
Individual events: 1st– 8th place medals.
Relays: 1st – 3rd place medals.  
Team Awards:  Trophies for 1st– 6th place.  
Individual High Point Awards will be presented to the male and female swimmers with the highest points scored in individual events for each age group.
 
Sportsmanship and Spirit Award:  Based on the vote of teams represented at the NCS LC Age Group Championship meet.  In the events of a tie, the Meet Director, Meet Referee, NCS Coach Rep and NCS Age Group Coordinator may cast tie-breaking votes.  The deadline for voting is up until completion of the Sunday 12 & Under session. 
 
Concessions      
Concessions will be available at this meet.
 
Suit       
As this is a championship meet, approved Aquablades and Vanquishers acceptable for 12 and Under swimmers and Tech suits for 13&14 year old swimmers.

Note     
Distance swimmers should plan to provide their own timers and counters.
