NOTE:  Initial Evaluations take approximately 10-15 minutes.
Swimmers should attend 3 of the Free Days for a complete evaluation to be possible.
The tryout session will last: 9 and under: 45mins, 10 to 12: 1 hour and  13 and up: 1 hour 30 mins
All who attend will be evaluated.

What to wear?
Swimmers must come to the evaluation session ready to swim. This includes:

  • Proper swim training attire. Baggy shorts or ’beach wear’ are not acceptable. Call or email if you are unsure what this means.
  • Goggles and a swim cap if the child needs one.

Why does my swimmer need to be evaluated?
Before any new swimmers can join RMT Swimming they will need to be evaluated. The evaluation (water test) is used by the coaches to determine the ability level of the applicant and which training group they would be best suited for.

What to expect?
Evaluations will determine if the child is ready for organized competitive swim training. They are comprehensive and can be physically stressful. All activities are age appropriate and simulate what athletes will experience.
