Olympic Training Center Trip
Sailfish training trip at the OTC.
With groups of 10 or more a group air travel rate is possible.
Sailfish (age 12 or older) have the opportunity to train at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs Colorado. Swimmers and will stay in dorms on the Olympic training grounds with an all you can eat cafeteria, June 26 - July 1 for two-a-day practices plus dry land. The base cost is $90/day or $540 + Group air travel which is around $480 + Coach fee which = ((OTC rate + travel)*#coaches/ number of participants) for a total of around $1200. Availability and cost are still to be finalized.
Yes everyone is missing a week of summer league and a summer league meet. You will be training 2-a-days, at 6,000 feet altitude, a week before the summer league championship and two weeks before the A champs. You will come back in a lot better shape. The Sailfish coaches going are myself and Martha.
If you have a frequent flyer number send that to me along with the exact spelling of your name as you have on a driver's license, student ID or passport.
This trip is an annual Sailfish training trip. I am asking everyone to pay either in full or in two installments on May 1 and on June 1.
Pool time estimate 9:00-11:00 am / 5:00-7:00 pm.
Transportation to and from Colorado Springs is the responsibility of the program. Upon arrival in Colorado Springs, the OTC will provide scheduled transportation between the Colorado Springs airport and the OTC as submitted between the hours of 4:30am -10:30pm.
Towels and linens:
The OTC provides bed linens and towels for use in the dorm. Swimmers should bring their own towels for use at the pool.
Dining Hall hours:
Basic hours are 7am-8:30pm with an early cold breakfast available 5:30am-7am. Be aware that the dining hall allows admittance from 11:45-12:15pm for full time resident athletes only.
