March 22-25, 2018

Michael H. Jones Natatorium (Olds-Robb Student Rec Center)

Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti, MI 48197

This is the State Championship Meet for our 13 & Up Swimmers. Swimmers must have State (Q1) qualifying times.

Eligibility: All swimmers registered with Michigan Swimming who have achieved an actual short course yards, short course meters, or long course meters time equal to or faster than the qualifying standards (referred to as Q1 Times) achieved between January 1, 2017 and March 18, 2018 are eligible to enter this event. A list of current qualifying times has been uploaded with this document.

Entry Procedures: Michigan Swimming has adopted USA Swimming's OME (Online Meet Entry) as the sole process for entering teams and individual swimmers into the State Meet. Times achieved at any USA Swimming sanctioned, observed or approved meet will appear in the OME. Gators Coaches will enter all swimmers into the meet using the OME. Gators Swimmers can sign up for their events on our website. All events for State Meet should be discussed with your child's coach prior to the entry deadline. If you are using high school times please get the meet results to your coaches ASAP as we need to send in proof of times.

Meet Format: Three and a half Day Championship State meet where swimmers swim prelim/final events in their age group (13-14 and Open) with a few exceptions for the timed final events listed below. The top 16 in each event will swim in finals.

Relays will be offered for all age groups. There are qualifying times for the relays and the Coaches will be putting relays together based upon swimmer’s times. All swimmers will be looked at as potential relay swimmers. “Relay Only Swimmers” can participate in this meet. “Relay only swimmers” may also do time trials during the meet.
