ELITE WEST SHOWCASE CLASSIC

Location: Arizona State University, Mona Plummer Aquatic Center 601 S College Ave, Tempe, AZ 85287

Course: Outdoor, 325 yard, 8 lane heated pools, 2 for competition and one for continuous warm up/warmdown. Daktronics and Colorado Starting System, electronic timing. Arizona Swimming warm up/warm down procedures will be posted and enforced. Eligibility: 1. Open to any USA Swimming, AAU, NASA, YMCA or nonaffiliated swimmers. There will be no on deck entry. 2. All swimwear must be FINAapproved. 3. This is a time standard meet. Swimmers must have equaled or bettered the qualifying time in order to swim that event. All entries must be made viaOME

Event Rules: 1. This is a preliminary/final meet short course yards. Two 8lane courses will be used for competition. 2. Swimmers must enter with valid qualifying times. Entry times not achieved in short course yards shall be noted by the appropriate course. No converted times may be used. An entry of NT will not be accepted. The order of seeding for preliminaries will be YLS. 3. Swimmers 9&Under, 11, and 13 must meet the national motivation BB standard, swimmers 10, 12, and 14 must meet the national motivational A standard for each event in order to be eligible to swim with exception to distance events (A and A A respectively, and they will be capped at 32 entrants). 4. The meet will be capped at 800 swimmers. 5. Swimmers are limited to 3 individual events per day, 9 for the meet. Overentered swimmers in a session will have events dropped at the point of over entry. 6. Bonus entries may be utilized according to the following rules; 1 qualifying swim = 3 bonus entries, 2 or more qualifying swims = 2 bonus entries not to exceed 6 total swims for the meet (so 4 Q = 2 B, 5Q = 1 B). 7. Time trials will be offered at the discretion of the meet referee and are subject to entry limits. 8. Events 400 and longer and all relays are positive check in. All swimmers must be listed on the entry sheet in order to compete. Relays are limited to 2 per team. See positive check in times below. 9. Arizona AgeGroup scratch rules will be enforced. Any swimmer not reporting to a final event in which the results were posted will also receive a $25 fee assessed to the team unless relieved for good cause by the meet referee. 10. All relays will be timed final swum in the preliminary session prior to positive check in events
