2017-2018 Meet Work - USE THIS ONE

September 13, 2017 (06:00 AM) - February 28, 2018 (11:59 PM)
September 20, 2017
September 20, 2017
(this is a team hosted event)

Description

** In an attempt to reduce the number of Meet Work Sessions that each family is required to work, we are asking each family to only sign up for 3 Meet Work Sessions!

We will do our very best to make this work without jeopardizing the quality of our meets.  If it we can't get the numbers to work, then we will address that with an additional email and sign up next week.  We absolutely need full participation to make this reduction in work a reality!!

This is one of the Meet Work Session Sign-up pages. Meet work session sign-ups will occur three times throughout the 2017 - 2018 Short Course and Long Course season. (For more details refer to the Parent Manual under the DOCUMENTS Tab.) On the Job Sign-up page attached to this event is where every family will commit to a date and session. At a later date, closer to the event the Meet Director will publish jobs that you can sign-up for or the Director will automatically assign you a job.

STEP 1 – Meet Work Session Sign-up

At 6:00AM on this Wednesday, September 13th please sign-up for your meet work sessions. Each family is required to work a total of four sessions.  We are in the process of trying to reduce this to three sessions.  This sign-up process will close Wednesday, September 20th at midnight. The Short Course In Season Meets include:

  1. GMVY Dual Meet
  2. M.E. Lyons Dual Meet
  3. Winter Polar Bear Meet
  4. High School Classic (Countryside YMCA location Only)
  5. Coffman Dual Meet

If you are on one of the following committees please don’t sign-up for session using this process.  You will receive further instructions from the chairperson.

  1. Timing Team Committee
  2. Officials Committee
  3. Concession Supervisors Committee
  4. Concession Cooks Committee
  5. Concession Shoppers/Set-up Committee
  6. Hospitality Shopper/Cook Committee
  7. Hospitality Supervisor/Worker Committee
  8. Meet Operations Committee (Set Up/Clean Up, Announcers, Volunteer Check In)

Procedures when signing up for work sessions:

  1. Sign on to Team Unify and select the Event Tab. Look for the Event – Meet Work Session Sign-up Short Course In Season 2017-2018.
  2. Click on the Event Title to bring up the Event Instructions.
  3. Click on the “Job Signup” button to sign-up.
  4. Sign-up for a total of spots unless you have committee work credit. Refer to instructions below for details on using your meet credits.
  5. You must include the name of the person working and their email or cell phone. Your entry will be delete you from your sign-up if this information isn’t complete.
  6. The same person can't work two or more jobs in the same session. It is fine for multiple family members 18 years and older to work the same session but you must include a different name and email/cell phone of each person working. Your entry will be deleted from your sign-up if this information isn’t complete.
  7. We have limited spots for young adults (high school students/ 9th -12 grade). These are based on a first come basis using the numbered spot next to your name.  Please indicate the name and age/grade of the young adult on the sign-up line.  This will let other families know that your family is taking one of the young adult spots.  Review the description area under the session date and time for the number of young adult spots allotted for each session.  We will sign-up your young adult in a timer position before publishing the jobs.
  8. If you have a conflict please use the emails/cell phones on the sign-up page to connect with other families to trade positions. Then email Amy Crider (akcrider@hotmail.com) with the information and she will make the changes online and notify the meet directors as needed.
  9. Questions or issues should be directed to Amy Crider at akcrider@hotmail.com.
