Notes from Host club:

 

Change room and pool deck accessibility:

Friday – change rooms available at 12:00 noon, warmups begin at 12:30

Saturday and Sunday – facility doors and gymnasium open at 7:30 am, change rooms and pool deck open at 7:45 am, warmups begin at 8:00

2.Spectator Viewing

We encourage parents to make use of our short-term viewing area on the pool deck bleachers. Please stay for no lo nger than 3 heats in order to make room for other parents to cheer for their children. No bags, coolers or lawn chairs are allowed to remain on the pool deck during the meet.

3.Athletes and Spectators Seating

When waiting for races, athletes and spectators are welcome to find space in the lobby or gymnasium. Please note that all chairs must be removed from the lobby at the end of each session, but may be stored in the gymnasium overnight.

4.Other use of facility/Parking

Please note that the theatre facilit y in the community centre is also hosting events on Friday and Saturday. We ask that spectators please keep entrances, marked walkways and stairs clear for theatre patrons. A Health and Wellness Fair is also being held at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre next door. If the parking lot in front of the pool is full, there is plenty of parking behind the pool that can be accessed by an entry off of the roundabout in front of Cascade Casino.

B. Meet Logistics

1.Warmups:

Warmups will be divided into 2 blocks. Designated warmup times will be sent out after the scratch deadline has passed.

2.Award Presentations:

Medals for timed final events will be awarded in the following session during the first event of the opposite gender. 800/1500FR medals will be presented on Friday evening. If your swimmer has placed in a medal position, please have them report to the podium at the start of the event for presentations. Actual finals and relays will be presented immediately after results are made official.

C. Hospitality

1.On site Concession:

Due to circumstances beyond our control, there will not be full-service concession available on site. Limited refreshments (coffee, tea, sports drinks, and some snacks) will be available at suggested donation prices for swimmers and spectators at our hospitality table in Meeting Room 4 during the meet. For nearby food services, please see the map located in the heat sheet.

2.Volunteers:

We welcome and encourage any visiting officials to join us on the pool deck. Please contact meet management at president@kisu.ca or check in at the Meet Manager station in Meeting Room 4.

 

We will train on Thursday, March 8th at VAC from 11 - 12 noon.  We will depart at 12:30 PM and head to Penticton.

Sunday, March 11th - estimated arrival time home would be at VAC around  midnight

We will be staying at the Tiki Shores Hotel while in Penticton.
