    • Looking for suggestions for what order to take officiating clinics in? Check out a few ideas below:

      First Time Official

      1. Intro to Swim Officiating (includes Safety Marshall); also known as Level 1 or Timer

Then take either of the following in any order:

      • Chief Timer (CT)
      • Judge of Strokes/Inpsector of Turns (Stroke and Turn)

      Progressing Official
After completing Intro to Swim Officiating, take the following clinics in any order you choose:

      • Chief Judge Electronics/Chief Finish Judge/Recorder Scorer CJE/CFJ/RS); also known as "the trio"
      • Chief Timer (CT)
      • Clerk of Course (CC)
      • Judge of Strokes/Inpsector of Turns (Stroke and Turn)
      • Meet Manager (MM)
      • Safety Marshall (if you have not yet taken it)
      • Starter
    • CLINIC REGISTRATION

The Introduction to Swim Officiating MUST be taken BEFORE taking other clinics.

Register in as many clinics as you can. Watch the start and finish times to ensure you don't double book.

Please note that full attendance is required in each clinic you take (clinics will start on time as we have built in transitional time).

    • Your registration is complete. Please hit submit form. You will receive an auto-generated reply in receipt of your registration.

Officiating is the 'best' seat as you can be on deck with the athletes and coaches and play an essential role in Swimming Competitions.

Thank you for your support of swimming in our province and your volunteer role as a swimming official.
