9 and Under Invitational
(this is a team hosted event)
The meet will start at 9 am. We are scheduled to warm up at 8 am so please plan to arrive by 7:30 am
The Pleasant Hill Aquatics Pool is located at 468 Boyd Road in Pleasant Hill
Parking is limited in our pool parking lot but there is plenty of street parking nearby. Please encourage your team to carpool. A map is enclosed with the “Family Pack”. The main pool entrance is a designated drop off zone for swimmers and team gear only. It is safe to say that if you do not arrive by 7:30 am, this lot will be full and street parking will be necessary. Please do not block the designated fire lanes in the parking lot or in the lane that leads to the pool or you will be towed!
TEAM AREAS – SET UP FRIDAY, JUNE 1 – 5-7PM
Please designate 1-2 team members to set up for your team on Friday, June 3 from 5-7pm. Each team will have a designated area to set up tents, banners, chairs etc. Your team area will be the same as last year (map attached). It could be hot so plan on bringing some “pop-ups” for your team.
The Warm up Schedule is dependent on the number of registered swimmers. Tentatively, the following schedule will be followed:

PROGRAMS AND RAFFLE TICKETS
Programs will be available at the Invitational at $5.00 each. Raffle tickets can be purchased for $1 per ticket, $5 for 6 tickets, $10 for 12 tickets, or $20 for 25 tickets.
Pleasant Hill Aquatics will be offering a full Snack Bar throughout the meet.
Individual medals will be awarded to the first, second, and third place finishers of all events, including the Freestyle Relay. Rosettes will be awarded to 4th through 8th place finishers. Ribbons will be awarded to all heat winners. Please note that medal ceremonies for the top three finishers of each event will be conducted throughout the meet. Tell your parents to bring their cameras for this fun Olympic style awards ceremony. (Sorry - No anthem provided.) There are no team awards
Pleasant Hill Aquatics may have a roaming photographer during the meet. He will be taking pictures of the swimmers (in action and otherwise), the crowd, the medal stand recipients, and the parents. Photos will be made available for free viewing and downloading at www.kodakgallery.com soon after the meet. Interested parties can gain access simply by filling in their e-mail address on the photo board present on the day of the meet. Individuals may purchase photos from the site at the website’s published charges.
Safety is our top priority. There are a large number of swimmers, many of whom have never participated in an invitational meet before. Your assistance in supervising these children is essential. There will be ample room for each team to set up in their designated team area. Warm-ups before the meet are to take place only under the supervision of your coaches. We are requesting that each team have shepherds to help swimmers (including 9 year olds) to the Bullpen area. The Shepherds will direct their swimmers to our Clerk of the Course located in the “Bullpen” in the parking lot near the east end of the pool. This will be a busy area. You are welcome to gather your swimmers near the Bullpen as long as swimmers respect our workers in their task of announcing swimmers and placing them in swim order. Please note that the baby pool will be closed to all participants during the entire meet.
