Qualifying Times are the 2017-2018 Swim BC Senior Open short course or long course standards

Qualifying period is from September 1, 2016, to the entry deadline. Ages are based on the age of the swimmer as of the first day of the competition.

Meet Update. Tuesday March 13th 2018...

Good afternoon all,

Please read through this email carefully.

SESSION REPORT: As you will notice, most sessions are much shorter than estimated in the meet package. Warm-ups for Sunday finals will begin two hours after the conclusion of Sunday prelims, which is about 2:00pm, with finals beginning around 3:00pm.

OFFICIALS: Please inform your parents whom are travelling to Vancouver for Senior Open that we are still in search for a number of Stroke & Turn Officials and Timekeepers for all sessions -- especially Friday. We want offer the best level of competition for our senior swimmers and will require a ssistance from the BC swim community to ensure we are well staffed. Please send over names and availabilities to [officials@vancouverpacificswimclub.com]officials@vancouverpacificswimclub.com or sign-up at the start of warm-ups in the lobby of the UBC Aquatic Centre.

RACETEK: Racetek is planning to be available for heats and finals of Senior Open on Saturday and Sunday only. Attached you will find the info sheet to register. If you have demand for Friday analysis, please contact Ken Olson directly at [ken@racetek.ca]ken@racetek.ca

FEES: It was flagged that the meet entry file contains incorrect numbers for entry fees. The entry is $85 per swimmer (includes splash and facility fees) and cheques can be made out to "Vancouver Pacific Swim Club"

POOL RULES: As a reminder, please no outside shoes, deck chairs or meals on deck. Teams are welcome to set up along the benches between the 50m and 25m tanks or up in the mezzanine. Everyone requiring deck access (coaches, volunteers, officials, swimmers) will need to check in at the lobby of the UBC Aquatic Centre to receive their wristband accreditation. Swimmers may attach the wristband to their swim bag or an article of clothing, but it must be on hand to re-enter the pool area. Entry is only permitted through the changerooms.
