Blast through the turns into underwater dolphin kick and finish ahead of the competition at this swim clinic designed to help competitive swimmers improve upon key details that are essential to swimming fast and improving times. Olympic swimmers will teach all participants drills they need to practice and master these skills.
Flip-turns: Learn to carry your momentum through the turn to get ahead of the competition on every wall. Use your core and your arms to get through the turn and plant your feet on the wall for a powerful pushoff in the perfect streamline. Learn and practice drills and exercises to help you master this skill.
Underwater dolphin kicking: The fastest swimmers in the world dolphin kick off of their walls and breakout ahead of the competition. It's not as hard as you think. Our Olympian and Paralympian clinicians will help swimmers improve their technqiue as well as commit to a number of kicks off of every wall so that they can improve their underwaters at practice and in competition.
Breakouts: Learn how to carry momentum from the underwater dolphin kicks into the breakout by timing the first stroke and staying streamlined. Swimmers will practice keeping their head down and it'll make a big difference in the breakout!

Cammile Adams (all sessions): Cammile Adams was co-captain of the 2016 USA Olympic team in Rio—a true role model. Cammile has been the USA's top 200 butterflier for the past several years and has a very efficient, smooth stroke that she takes pleasure in teaching others.

Clark Smith (Saturday sessions): Learn how to go the distance with Olympic gold medalist and NCAA champion freestyler and butterflier Clark Smith! Clark will help swimmers of all ages learn to increase their efficiency and endurance through knowledge of better technique!
Tucker Dupree (Friday session): Learn to see swimming from a different perspective by learning from three-time Paralympian and Paralympic World Record Holder Tucker Dupree! Tucker is visually impaired, so he has had to rely on his feel for the water and of his technique to swim fast! He will teach participants to think about swimming in a new light to reach even higher levels in the sport.

Swimmers and parents are invited to ask our Olympians and Paralympian questions during a Q&A session after each in-water clinic. Gain insight into their training regimen, diet and nutrition, and recovery tactics. Swimmers will also have an opportunity to take photos while wearing medals, get autographs, and even a gift from TYR Sport!

RICE Aquatics wants to give back to our amazing swim family. Over the past few years we have grown larger and more competitive each season, however we still see RICE as one large swim family. In order to ensure we get as many athletes involved into this clinic, RICE Aquatics is covering a majority of the costs for this clinic. Cost per swimmer is $75.
