Kelowna Jamboree is a special event this year, with ORCA parents shadowing the Kelowna meet organizers, in preparation for a future ORCA Jamboree in 2019.
Orca Board is asking all Jamboree swimmers to provide one ADULT volunteer to shadow a KAJ volunteer with their role in hosting a jamboree.
The Volunteer Roles are (and you don't have to be a pro in the role):
- 1 Meet Manager
- 1 Chief Finish Judge
- 1 Clerk of Course (for Jamboree Chief Finish Judge & Clerk of Coarse are same person)
- 1 Electronics
- 1 Chief Timer
- 8 Stroke & Turns
- 3 Marshells (will train them on the spot)
- 1 Food
- 1 Safety Marshal
- Heat Sheet Seller
- Set up and take down
Please note volunteer role in "NOTES BOX" of online entry process.
An email will be following up this one inviting all ORCA parents to a Swim Official's Training Session on Feb. 21st 5:00-6:00PM.
Although recommended, you do not have to attend the Swim Officials training to volunteer at the meet.

Warm Up: 1:00-1:30
Swim Meet: 1:40-5:00
Swim Meet Please arrive at 1:00 and we will have a team warm up.
Bring 2 towels, warm clothing, water bottle and healthy snacks and ORCA gear!
Come ready with "tattoo" of events on your swimmer's arm.
Meet Fees = $6.00/entry
Parents can select events and coaches will have final say. Maximum of 4 events.
