2018 EAST TENNESSEE SUMMER SWIM LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP MEET
DATE AND TIME: Saturday, July 28, 2018; Warm-Ups begin no earlier then 7:30 AM.; Competition begins 9:00 AM. A warm-up schedule will be distributed once entries have been received.
LOCATION: Kingsport Aquatic Center, 1820 Meadowview Pkwy Kingsport, TN 37660
Each swimmer must have competed in at least two (2) ETSSL meets during the current season. NOTE: If a
swimmer will be using a meet after the entry deadline to fulfill this requirement, he/she should be entered in the
championship meet by the entry deadline. If he fails to meet the qualifying requirement, he should be scratched by the coach prior to the start of the championship meet. Coaches are responsible for bringing a copy of the official meet results to the Championship Meet in order to verify a swimmer has met the participation requirement, if questioned.
ENTRY FEES: $8.00 per swimmer, regardless of number of events. No entry fees for relays.
SCORING: Individual Events 16-13-12-11-10-9-7-5-4-3-2-1; Relay Events 32-26-24-22-20-18-14-10-8-6-4-2
AWARDS: 1st through 12th place ribbons in each event
1st through 3rd place medals to high point winner in each age group
1st through 3rd place trophies to Team winners
ENTRY LIMITS: Swimmers are allowed to compete in 3 individual events and 2 relay events
Teams are allowed to enter one scoring relay per relay event. This relay shall be designated as "A".
Exhibition (non-scoring) relays are permitted, as long as individual entry limits are maintained.
ENTRIES should be submitted with a swimmer’s best SHORT COURSE YARD Time. Conversions are allowed.
AGE: The swimmer’s age as of June 1, 2017, will be considered his age for the purposes of entering and participating in this meet.
MEET MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES: Each team is responsible for providing 6 adult workers for the duration of the meet. These people may be substituted for at the discretion of each team, but their duties must be continued by someone else from that team. Workers may be assigned responsibilities as timers, place judges, runners, and/or awards table workers, at the discretion of the meet management. Any team who has someone with “special” skills (referee, computer operator, announcer, etc) should contact Chris Coraggio at the time they send in their entries so he may use this information when assigning duties.
